The posting

A growing events and experiential agency in Dubai is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Account Director. The role leads major client relationships, oversees high-profile events and contributes directly to the growth of the business.

This is a senior leadership role for an accomplished events professional who combines client management, business development, strategic planning and event delivery with strong commercial accountability. It comes with a structured, performance-based pathway to Chief Operating Officer for the right candidate.

Requirements

Experience

  • 10 to 15+ years of experience in event management, experiential or brand activation agencies
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Account Director, Head of Events or similar)
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale corporate and government events in the UAE/GCC
  • Experience managing luxury brand, corporate and government clients
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across accounts, events, production and creative

Commercial Skills

  • A demonstrable record of winning new business and growing existing accounts
  • Strong financial management: budgets, P&L, costing and gross profit targets
  • Experienced in leading pitches, proposals and contract negotiations
  • Confident negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial approvals
  • Able to produce accurate revenue forecasts and management reports

Leadership and Personal Skills

  • A strategic thinker with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
  • Excellent communicator, confident presenting to C-level and senior government stakeholders
  • Able to manage multiple high-value events and clients at the same time under pressure
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to grow into a COO role

Network

  • An established UAE/GCC client network across corporate, government and luxury sectors
  • Strong relationships within the regional events and supplier community

Education and Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Hospitality or a related field
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Based in the UAE or willing to relocate immediately
  • Valid UAE driving licence preferred
