CURRICULUM INTERN – STEM SCIENCE

We Want To Change The World. We Believe It Starts With Education.

In India, 100 million children from low-income communities grow up without access to the 21st-century skills they need to thrive — from emotional intelligence and digital literacy to everyday money management. This gap leads to a lifetime of limited opportunity, intergenerational poverty, and rising mental health concerns.

What Are We Doing?

At The Apprentice Project (TAP), we're building India's boldest bet on education equity — an AI-powered learning buddy that helps thousands of government school students unlock 21st-century skills. We don't just teach coding or financial literacy — we spark self-confidence, creativity, and lifelong curiosity in children who've been told to "stay in their lane."

We're not looking for employees. We're looking for co-builders — people who want to create generational change, one student at a time.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is genuinely excited about hands-on Science — someone who enjoys building a circuit, running an experiment, and then figuring out how to explain it simply to a 12-year-old. You have solid school-level Science knowledge and a basic understanding of Electronics. You're comfortable troubleshooting circuits, testing activities for feasibility and safety, and supporting the creation of instructional content that works in resource-limited school settings. If you want to help children discover that Science is something they can do with their own hands — you'll thrive here.

About The Role

Engagement: Intern

Time Commitment: 20–30 hours per week

Reports to: Team Lead – STEM Science

What You'll Do

  • Support development and testing of Science, STEM, and Electronics activities, experiments, and projects.
  • Assist in creating instructional videos demonstrating experiments, circuits, and hands-on activities.
  • Test activities and projects for technical accuracy, feasibility, and safety.
  • Support development of student-friendly explanations, demonstrations, and instructions.
  • Help identify simple, affordable, and locally available materials and components.
  • Support basic troubleshooting of circuits, components, and hands-on STEM activities.
  • Support research and contextualisation of activities for different student and school settings.
  • Update curriculum trackers, sheets, and documentation.
  • Create and manage content links and organise resources on Google Drive and relevant platforms.
  • Support basic video recording, editing, formatting, and quality checks.
  • Identify content gaps, errors, or implementation issues and flag them to the Team Lead.
  • Support other routine curriculum and coordination tasks.

Who You Are

  • Good knowledge of school-level Science and basic Electronics.
  • Understanding of basic electronic components and circuits — LEDs, resistors, switches, sensors, batteries, motors, and breadboards.
  • Ability to build, test, and troubleshoot simple electronic circuits.
  • Interest in hands-on STEM, experiments, making, and project-based learning.
  • Ability to explain scientific and technical concepts in a simple, student-friendly manner.
  • Basic video and content creation skills are an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with Google Sheets, Google Drive, and digital tools.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Preferred Background

  • Students or recent graduates from Science, Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, STEM Education, or related fields.
  • Experience with Arduino, microcontrollers, sensors, or other maker and STEM platforms is an advantage.

Why Join Us?

Because hands-on Science and Electronics are among the most engaging and empowering things a child in a government school can experience — and among the rarest. The activities you help build and test will give students access to circuits, experiments, and projects that most children in their schools have never encountered. Every activity you test, every video you support, and every instruction you help simplify will make that experience more reliable and more powerful for thousands of students. If you want your Science knowledge to have that kind of reach — this is it.

What You Can Expect?

  • Hands-on learning: Work directly on curriculum that reaches thousands of students across government schools in India.
  • Mentorship: Learn from experienced curriculum designers and subject specialists.
  • Real contribution: Your work will go live — into lesson plans, videos, and student activities that make a difference.
  • Flexible engagement: Intern arrangement with structured outcomes and meaningful time commitment.
  • Stipend: As per TAP's internship compensation structure — details shared during selection.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
