What You'll Do

  • Prepare and cook high-quality, flavourful meals that residents look forward to.
  • Work confidently and efficiently across all sections of a professional kitchen, including grill, sauté, hot line, cold preparation, and plating.
  • Manage multiple orders and priorities while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation.
  • Prepare meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth, efficient meal service.
  • Contribute ideas, creativity, and a positive attitude to the kitchen.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong, hands-on line cook experience is essential, with demonstrated proficiency across all kitchen stations.
  • Solid cooking techniques, knife skills, food preparation, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain quality during busy service periods.
  • Experience preparing meals from scratch and working with a variety of ingredients and cooking methods.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Experience in retirement living, hospitality, or high-volume food service is an asset.
