You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, test, enhance, and support highly reliable applications for the payments industry while using AI-assisted automation and engineering practices within the software development lifecycle.

TCH values engineers who are technically curious, pragmatic, and interested in understanding how complex systems work, end to end. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on software engineer who has a solid foundation in Java development, some exposure to Python, and a strong interest in building industry-critical applications using cloud, container, automation, and distributed-system technologies.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable software supporting real-time payment processing
  • Write clean and maintainable Java code compliant with TCH quality standards and secure coding practices
  • Develop software components leveraging enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
  • Develop Python scripts and programs as needed for data automation and integration services
  • Participate in the modernization of existing applications and migration toward cloud-native platforms
  • Develop and maintain services, APIs, application components, and automated tests
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and engineering design activities
  • Apply CI/CD practices for automated building, testing, and deployment of high-quality software
  • Work with containerized applications and Kubernetes-based environments for component-based releases
  • Build applications on AWS cloud platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform
  • Work with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ where appropriate
  • Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and root-cause analysis
  • Follow established security, software development, testing, documentation, and change management practices
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product teams, infrastructure teams, and operations
  • Use approved AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, documentation, and continuous quality improvements in accordance with enterprise controls
  • undefined

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related fields
  • Solid understanding of core software engineering concepts including object-oriented and functional programming, data structures, APIs, automated testing, and source code control.
  • 3+ years in Java software development experience including analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation and testing of systems
  • Experience developing Python scripts and programs for data management and analysis
  • Exposure to working in AWS or another major public cloud provider and familiar with cloud-native application architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated software build/deployment processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to apply to software design, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Strong interest in designing and building highly available and highly reliable systems
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively within an engineering team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams and non-technical partners
  • Collaborative team player that connects with peers and across other teams
  • undefined

Qualifications desired:

  • Familiarity with enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
  • Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, and CI/CD tooling
  • Exposure to Docker, containers, and/or Kubernetes for application deployment
  • Exposure to AWS cloud services, including developer training and certifications
  • Experience using agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and development tools such as Terraform

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
