Job Description

As Security Guard with The Fedcap School you'll be a key member of a dedicated, robust team of professionals providing a holistic approach to education and support for 65 students with disabilities. You will participate in ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for all students as part of our Wrap Around Model that ensures a team focus to support and reinforces positive development in all areas of our students' lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over

Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols

Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities

Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management

Testing security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectors

Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner

Performing CPR or first aid when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/Pass background clearance

Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other related software

Special Schedule · Normal business hours: At times, must be willing to work in beyond normal business hours as needed by operational needs and event schedules

Build strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
