Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Intelligence and Pipeline, the Pipeline Intelligence Analyst is responsible for maintaining a trusted enterprise pipeline and producing the analysis required to manage growth performance, opportunity priorities and portfolio risk.

The postholder will drive CRM discipline, data quality, reporting and dashboarding, while providing insight on conversion, must-win priorities, recompete exposure, concentration and pipeline risk. The role will turn pipeline data into clear management information that supports governance, financial alignment and action.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Data Quality & CRM Discipline

Maintain a complete, accurate and trusted enterprise pipeline by applying agreed data, stage and governance standards. Work directly with opportunity owners to resolve gaps and ensure records reflect the current position.

  • Monitor Salesforce and associated pipeline records for completeness, accuracy, currency and consistency.
  • Validate opportunity value, stage, timing, probability, ownership, next steps and supporting evidence.
  • Follow up missing or overdue updates with opportunity owners and track resolution of data-quality issues.
  • Apply agreed pipeline definitions, entry and exit criteria and mandatory data standards.
  • Produce data-quality reports and identify recurring control or adoption issues.

Pipeline Reporting & Dashboards

Produce clear, reliable management information that gives leaders visibility of pipeline value, maturity, movement and risk. Maintain dashboards and reporting packs that support action and decision-making.

  • Prepare regular pipeline dashboards, KPI reports, review packs and executive summaries.
  • Report pipeline value by stage, geography, service line, customer, owner and expected decision date.
  • Highlight material movements, stalled opportunities, overdue actions and changes in assumptions.
  • Maintain consistent reporting logic, definitions and reconciliations across reports.
  • Improve reporting efficiency through appropriate dashboarding, automation and standard templates.

Pipeline Reviews & Governance Support

Coordinate the information and analysis required for effective pipeline governance. Ensure review forums have accurate records, clear actions and timely follow-through.

  • Prepare agendas, analysis and opportunity information for pipeline and portfolio reviews.
  • Identify records that do not meet qualification, evidence or stage-gate requirements.
  • Capture decisions, actions, owners and deadlines arising from governance reviews.
  • Monitor agreed actions and escalate unresolved data or process issues to the Director.
  • Maintain the governance calendar and supporting documentation.

Prioritization & Portfolio Analysis

Provide analysis that supports evidence-based opportunity prioritization and must-win management. Help leaders understand pipeline balance, resource implications and alignment with growth strategy.

  • Maintain prioritization scores, must-win reporting and portfolio views using agreed criteria.
  • Analyze pipeline balance across sectors, commissioners, territories, service lines and maturity stages.
  • Identify concentration, diversification and coverage trends within the opportunity portfolio.
  • Prepare analytical inputs for resource allocation and investment discussions.
  • Track whether priority opportunities continue to meet the evidence required for their status.

Conversion, Win/Loss & Performance Insight

Track how opportunities progress through the lifecycle and identify where conversion is improving or weakening. Convert performance data into practical insight for governance and continuous improvement.

  • Calculate and monitor stage conversion, win rates, pipeline velocity and ageing using agreed definitions.
  • Analyze bottlenecks, stalled opportunities and patterns in progression or attrition.
  • Support win/loss reviews by preparing data, trends and opportunity histories.
  • Compare performance across relevant portfolio dimensions without overstating conclusions.
  • Produce concise recommendations and follow-up measures arising from analysis.

Recompete, Concentration & Pipeline Risk Insight

Maintain visibility of contract expiry, recompete exposure, concentration and other risks that may affect future growth. Provide early warning of coverage gaps and changes that require management action.

  • Maintain the recompete and contract-expiry view and reconcile it with the active pipeline.
  • Monitor pipeline maturity, probability, timing, dependencies and key risk indicators.
  • Analyze exposure by commissioner, funder, contract, market, geography and service line.
  • Identify future revenue gaps, weak pipeline coverage and material changes in portfolio risk.
  • Support scenario and mitigation analysis with Finance, Growth and Opportunity Management.

Forecast Reconciliation & Continuous Improvement

Support alignment between pipeline information and financial planning while improving the quality and efficiency of pipeline processes. Provide transparent analysis of differences, assumptions and changes.

  • Support regular reconciliation of pipeline assumptions with FP&A forecasts and planning data.
  • Maintain clear records of timing, probability and value assumptions used in reporting.
  • Investigate material differences between CRM records, governance reports and financial views.
  • Support scenario analysis and long-range growth planning with accurate pipeline data.
  • Identify and implement improvements to data standards, reports, controls and user guidance.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
