The posting

About us

The Kingfish Company operates Kingfish-Zeeland, a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) farm near Kats producing yellowtail kingfish. Reliable maintenance of our life-support systems — biofilters, filtration, oxygenation, UV, pumps — is critical to fish health, water quality, and continuous production.

Job purpose

The CMMS Planner plans, coordinates, maintains, and develops preventive and corrective maintenance processes using our CMMS platform, Fiix, serving the Hatchery, Production, Processing, and Facilities departments. You keep asset data, PM schedules, and work orders accurate and up to date, minimizing downtime on critical systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the CMMS (Fiix): assets, PM schedules, checklists, and work orders across Hatchery, Production, Processing, and Facilities.
  • Build and monitor preventive maintenance plans for critical equipment (pumps, blowers, biofilters, drum filters, UV units, oxygen systems, PLC/SCADA-linked assets).
  • Schedule and prioritize work orders with technicians and each client department, weighing impact on water quality and fish health.
  • Issue work orders to technicians based on their skill level and availability, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
  • Monitor time-to-complete on work orders to identify trends and improve future planning and execution.
  • Analyse maintenance data (failure history, MTBF/MTTR, costs) and report on performance and improvements.
  • Coordinate spare parts stock levels and reorder points with procurement.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records (asset history, warranties, inspections).
  • Support compliance with animal welfare, food safety, and H&S regulations (RVO, NVWA, Arbo).
  • Identify reliability improvements (RCM/FMEA-type approach) and support Fiix training for colleagues.

Requirements

  • Experience with a CMMS system (Fiix a plus).
  • Affinity with technical/process installations in a wet environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
  • Comfortable working across multiple internal client departments.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Occasional availability outside office hours for critical failures.

What do we offer?

  • Market conform salary
  • Pension Plan, travel allowance
  • An amazing opportunity to work at a high tech aquaculture facility, a role at the forefront of sustainable aquaculture, with the chance to shape maintenance systems and processes
  • Housing possibilities close to Kingfish Zeeland for a maximum of 3 months.
  • The most amazing and awesome colleagues!

The Kingfish Company

The Kingfish Company is a pioneer and leader in sustainable land-based aquaculture. We produce the Yellowtail Kingfish (also known as Ricciola/Hiramasa/Greater Amberjack) which is a highly versatile premium fish species, well known in the Italian and Asian fusion cuisines.

Our operation is based on three core principles: sustainability, respect for our fish, and the environment. These key principles are at the heart of our design, activity, and technology decisions. Production of our fish is based on advanced recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), which create the ideal growth environment for kingfish, offer optimal biosecurity, and limit the environmental impact. Animal welfare is paramount and our fish are grown without the use of antibiotics and vaccines. Operations run on 100% renewable energy, sourced from wind, solar, and biogas and the company’s facilities operate on seawater to avoid wasting precious fresh water.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
