Job Title: Alliances Coordinator (Corporate Partnerships)

Position Summary:

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking top talent for its Alliances Coordinator role. This position at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research ("the Foundation") supports the team’s partnerships with various stakeholders including corporate partners (e.g., health and wellness companies, pharmaceutical, biotech, health-tech) and other research and healthcare funders (government funders, Parkinson’s disease (PD) non-profit organizations, and other donor and venture capital funders). This role supports team operations, new program implementation, and process improvements. This position supports the team in driving partnership and revenue growth by reducing time relationship managers spend on various administrative tasks, speeding up the stewardship process, and improving the experience internally for our business development leads and externally for our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a team of portfolio managers and the Director of Research Alliances in business development and partner stewardship activities (e.g., critical data input and data management, creating briefs for partner prospecting), towards helping to drive revenue for the organization
  • Develop proficiency in the Foundation’s client relationship management (CRM) database, Salesforce. Support the department’s strategic use of Salesforce and enable processes improvement for business development leads
  • Leverage the CRM and other business intelligence tools to provide market research, landscape briefs and prospecting support driven by the team’s portfolio managers and provide operational support to development projects including forecasting and reporting
  • Monitor the department’s general inquiries mailboxes; facilitate hand-offs with portfolio managers and technical experts across departments to accelerate collaborative research, educational and fundraising programs
  • Evaluate corporate, industry, non-profit, government and venture capital sectors’ R&D portfolios using primary and secondary research to provide objective, in-depth understanding of the ‘healthy aging’ landscape, players, and challenges to prioritize the Foundation’s internal intellectual and financial engagement tactics
  • Engage in conversations surrounding philanthropic trends and best practices in corporate giving, recommending new ideas as appropriate to enable the Foundation to creatively secure funding

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge providing administrative support to a team or on projects (experience in the following areas preferred; business development, sales, development, operations, customer/client management, healthcare consulting)
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail; can understand, translate, and distill complex, technical data and details into clear and simple information that enables decision making
  • Strong analytical mindset with an interest in how data supports efficiency and identifying creative solutions geared towards automation
  • Demonstrated customer service, and/or client management skills with strong communication skills
  • Possess the ability to align one’s interpersonal style with the individual needs of internal and external partners
  • Commitment to teamwork; ability to collaborate and manage projects with and through others; ability to influence action without direct authority
  • Willingness to adapt when necessary; comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to changing business dynamics and priorities
  • Salesforce experience/Salesforce Admin certification is preferred

Compensation & Benefits Individual compensation for this role is dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, skillsets, and applicable laws. In addition to salary, the Foundation offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • 15+ options for medical insurance (with the Foundation paying 90 percent of the premiums)
  • Competitive dental and vision plans
  • 401(k) plan with 6 percent employer contribution
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Employer paid life and disability insurance
  • 18 Vacation Days; 12 Well-Being (Sick) Days; 2 Personal Days; summer Fridays (office closure at 2pm) and a summer holiday week over July 4
  • Flexible work environment. We trust all employees to work closely with their manager and colleagues to determine when, where and how programs and projects get done.

Employees are also eligible for a discretionary bonus on an annual basis. The Foundation provides staff and leadership cultivation through regular training courses and events.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
