Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

This posting covers Demand Planner opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Shelby Township in Macomb County, within about 30 minutes of the city, including Auburn Hills, Troy, Rochester Hills, and Lake Orion.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with multiple companies in the Shelby Township area seeking experienced Demand Planners. These organizations value long-term fit and look for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Usual Responsibilities

  • Identify risks in supply and demand and recommend corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain demand forecasts for finished goods and components.
  • Review sales history, orders, and market trends to update forecast models.
  • Coordinate with sales, production, and procurement on forecast changes.
  • Track forecast accuracy and report variances to management.
  • Plan inventory levels to avoid stockouts and excess supply.
  • Support production scheduling and material planning with current demand data.
  • Lead regular demand review meetings with cross functional teams.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Excel and ERP or MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and production planning concepts.
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Bachelor degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in demand planning or forecasting in a manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Background in a specific manufacturing sector such as automotive or consumer goods.
  • APICS or similar supply chain certification.
  • Experience with demand planning software or advanced forecasting tools.
  • Familiarity with S&OP processes.
