Financial Analyst | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Walker region seeking Financial Analysts. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Analyze production costs, inventory, and supply chain efficiency to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, sales) to provide financial expertise and support business initiatives.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities, performing ROI and payback period analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor performance, and industry benchmarks to inform financial strategy.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with production planning and inventory management concepts.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting financial insights.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles specific to manufacturing environments.
  • Certification in financial modeling or relevant analytics (e.g., CFA, FP&A).
