Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in St. Johns that are seeking First Article Inspectors. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed dimensional inspections of first article parts against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of precision measurement tools, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, completing all required first article inspection reports (FAIRs).
  • Identify and document non-conformances, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain inspection equipment through regular calibration and preventative maintenance.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
  • Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or similar industry standards.
