Setup Technician | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

We are collaborating with companies in Walker seeking experienced Setup Technicians.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Walker region seeking Setup Technicians. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and stage production equipment and machinery according to work orders.
  • Perform routine calibration and adjustment of manufacturing equipment.
  • Safely move and position heavy machinery using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Conduct initial test runs and make minor adjustments to ensure operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical or electrical issues during setup.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Document setup procedures, equipment settings, and any encountered issues.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hand and power tools, and precision measurement equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
