JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking reliable Seasonal Theatre Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout our theatres. Working closely with Director of Custodial Services, Custodial Services Manager and Theatre Managers, this position supports both facility cleaning operations and front-of-house duties during live performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean and maintain designated areas of the theatre
  • Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash various surfaces
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and public areas
  • Sweep and hose sidewalks and entryways
  • Perform snow removal as needed
  • Accept deliveries and properly store theatre supplies
  • Monitor and report maintenance or safety concerns

During Performance / Show Duties

  • Assist with crowd control during performances
  • Maintain cleanliness of theatres, sidewalks, lobby areas, and restrooms during performances
  • Provide basic information and answer patron questions
  • Ensure facility security and complete lock-up procedures at the end of performances

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or facility maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
