The posting

Overview

HOURLY RATE (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $65.00 - $89.00

SCOPE: The Infusion Nurse – Cellular Therapy and Clinical Research (full-time) is responsible for the safe and compliant administration of investigational and commercial therapies, including cellular therapies (e.g., CAR-T), within an outpatient oncology setting. This role supports both clinical care and research operations, ensuring adherence to protocol requirements, regulatory standards, and institutional policies. The position may require occasional weekend coverage (see schedule notes).

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Care and Infusion Services

  • Administer oncology therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapies, in accordance with established protocols and manufacturer guidelines
  • Perform pre-infusion assessments, including review of labs, orders, and patient eligibility
  • Perform venipuncture/blood draws for clinical and research purposes (routine labs, PKs, and study samples)
  • Monitor patients during and post-infusion, including management of adverse events such as cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity (ICANS)
  • Ensure emergency preparedness, including appropriate escalation and coordination with higher levels of care as needed
  • Maintain chain of identity and chain of custody for cellular therapy products

Cellular Therapy (CAR-T) Program Support

  • Participate in cellular therapy workflows, including product receipt, handling, verification, and bedside coordination
  • Support cryopreserved product handling, including thawing procedures in accordance with SOPs
  • Coordinate with apheresis centers, manufacturers, and couriers as needed
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements and applicable regulatory standards
  • Ensure site preparedness for CAR-T, including but not limited to readiness of clinical personnel involved in patient care and SOPs
  • Responsible for end to end patient coordination and care for patients undergoing CAR-T – ensuring all steps occur safely
  • Participate in weekend coverage to support CAR-T patient monitoring during high-risk post-infusion periods (e.g., CRS and neurotoxicity monitoring windows). Weekend coverage typically runs 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and is scheduled as needed when a CAR-T patient requires monitoring (not every weekend).

Clinical Research Support

  • Execute study-related procedures per protocol, including sample collection, processing, and documentation
  • Collaborate with clinical research staff to ensure protocol adherence and accurate data capture
  • Support sponsor monitoring visits and audits as applicable
  • Maintain source documentation in accordance with GCP and institutional standards
  • Responsible for end to end patient coordination and care for patients enrolled in a clinical trial – ensuring all steps occur safely

Schedule Notes

  • Full-time position (standard shift 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). There will be occasions when the 8:00 AM–5:00 PM day may extend beyond scheduled hours to accommodate specific clinical or study-related lab draws (e.g., PK sampling) or other time-sensitive patient care needs.
  • Occasional weekend obligations (8:00 AM–12:00 PM) as needed to cover CAR-T patient monitoring; these are not every weekend but occur based on patient clinical needs and program scheduling.
  • Participate in meetings related to cellular therapy or clinical trial

Compliance and Documentation

  • Document all clinical and research activities accurately within the electronic medical record and study systems
  • Adhere to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality management processes
  • Participate in training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with physicians, research staff, pharmacy, and external partners to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Communicate effectively regarding patient status, protocol requirements, and operational workflows

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
