The posting

The Apex Group was established in Bermuda in 2003 and is now one of the world’s largest fund administration and middle office solutions providers.

Our business is unique in its ability to reach globally, service locally and provide cross-jurisdictional services. With our clients at the heart of everything we do, our hard-working team has successfully delivered on an unprecedented growth and transformation journey, and we are now represented by over circa 13,000 employees across 112 offices worldwide.Your career with us should reflect your energy and passion.

That’s why, at Apex Group, we will do more than simply ‘empower’ you. We will work to supercharge your unique skills and experience.

Take the lead and we’ll give you the support you need to be at the top of your game. And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.

For our business, for clients, and for you

As Apex builds a true opportunity lifecycle — real qualification, proportionate governance, systems that work the way our people do — every deal that gets negotiated still has to become something concrete: a correctly configured quote, an accurate fee proposal, an order document that reflects exactly what was agreed, priced right and approved at the right level. That's where this role lives.

You'll be the commercial engine room for our Sales and CRM teams — hands-on in CPQ, producing the documents that move a deal from agreed to signed, calculating pricing and margin, and routing every deal through the right level of governance. Where the Sales Operations Analyst keeps the process running, you'll keep the commercial mechanics of the deal itself accurate, compliant, and moving.

We're looking for a Deal Desk Analyst to be the first point of contact for Sales and CRM on the commercial mechanics of a deal — CPQ configuration, Fee Proposal Documents, Order Documents, pricing, margin and approvals. You'll report to the Senior Deal Desk Manager, Complex Commercial Pursuits, and you'll help turn a negotiated deal into an accurate, ready-to-execute one.

What you'll do

Own deal construction in CPQ. You'll configure quotes and proposals across the full portfolio — from straightforward Apex Invest subscriptions to more complex Fund Administration deals — so what's built in the system matches what was actually agreed.

Produce accurate fee proposal and order documentation. You'll build Fee Proposal Documents and Order Documents that reflect the deal precisely — the right products, the right pricing, the right terms — ready for a customer to sign with confidence.

Own deal pricing and margin production. You'll calculate and validate pricing and margin using our established models, and know when a deal's profile means it needs to be flagged rather than processed as standard.

Route deals through governance and approvals. You'll apply our tiered governance model — auto-approval, Deal Desk review, or escalation to specialist governance groups — so every deal gets exactly the scrutiny it needs, and no more than that.

Be the first point of contact for Sales and CRM on commercial mechanics. When a deal needs pricing sense-checked, a proposal turned around fast, or an approval chased, you're who they come to — and you make sure momentum doesn't stall on your desk.

Maintain commercial data integrity. You'll keep pricing, product and approval data accurate in CPQ and Salesforce, so everything downstream — reporting, governance, forecasting — can be trusted.

What you'll bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in Deal Desk, Commercial Operations, or a similar commercial/quoting function, ideally within SaaS, B2B tech, or financial/professional services
  • Hands-on experience with CPQ tools (Salesforce CPQ or equivalent) — deal configuration, quoting, and proposal or order document production
  • Comfort with pricing and margin calculations, and a solid understanding of how deal structure affects both
  • Experience working within a commercial approval or governance framework, and respect for why it exists
  • Sharp attention to detail — comfortable being the last check before something goes out to a customer
  • Ability to manage multiple deals and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Clear, confident communication — able to explain a pricing or governance requirement to Sales without it feeling like a roadblock

Nice to have

  • Experience creating, maintaining, and updating process maps and SOP documentation
  • Experience working in case management systems
  • Experience participating in or/and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Salesforce enhancement initiatives
  • Understanding of how the Workday and Salesforce integration works

What will make you thrive here

  • You take real pride in getting the numbers and the paperwork right, every time, not just most of the time
  • You can hold the line on governance and still move at the pace a deal needs
  • You want to be the person Sales calls when a deal has to move fast and land right
  • You're looking to grow toward more complex, strategic commercial pursuits work as you build your track record

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
