The Opportunity Position Title: Recovery Engagement WorkerReports To: Health & Recovery Services LeadershipEmployment Type: CasualSchedule: As Relief staff, you will help support staffing coverage for vacations, sick leave, and other absences. Relief shifts are assigned on an as-needed basis, offering flexibility while supporting the needs of the organization. Location: 1 Dermot Baldwin Way SE, Calgary, Alberta About the Department Recovery-Oriented System of Care (ROSC) is comprised of two programs: Withdrawal Management (WDM) and Recovery Transition (RT). Both programs are located within our main emergency shelter building. WDM provides short-term support for guests withdrawing from substances. Medical supports, including nurses and physicians, monitor and manage withdrawals with a focus on safety, dignity, and community-based care. WDM supports guests to identify the next step in their recovery journeys, based on guests’ needs and goals. This may include connecting to internal DI programs or referrals to community treatment centers. RT is a transitional program designed for guests who have completed a detoxification program – whether within ROSC or in the community – and are waiting for admission to a community treatment center. Create engaging opportunities for growth by facilitating recovery-oriented groups, life skills development, and recreational programming that builds confidence, encourages connection, and fosters overall well-being. Guide guests through intake, triage, orientation, and assessments to identify needs, set expectations, and support successful recovery outcomes. Drive collaborative care planning by participating in case conferences and multidisciplinary rounds, while supporting successful guest transitions through proactive referrals, warm handoffs, and community partnerships. Facilitate safe and successful community engagement by arranging transportation, supporting access to essential services, and accompanying guests to appointments and program activities. Be a visible and trusted presence on the unit, promoting safety, wellness, and stability through meaningful guest engagement, responsive crisis support, and active participation in the daily operations that create a positive recovery environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
