Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Integration Suite Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, and integration architecture. The ideal candidate will design, develop, implement, and support scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems in cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations using SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, and Event Mesh.
  • Build and optimize integration flows (iFlows) using HTTPS, SFTP, IDoc, RFC, SOAP, and REST adapters.
  • Develop message mappings using graphical mapping, XSLT, Java, and Groovy.
  • Implement exception handling, retry mechanisms, monitoring, tracing, and debugging to ensure integration reliability.
  • Design, publish, secure, monitor, version, and manage APIs using SAP API Management.
  • Apply API security policies, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
  • Implement traffic management policies such as rate limiting, spike arrest, and caching.
  • Design cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premises integrations, following SAP BTP architecture and clean-core principles.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.
  • Perform integration monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
  • Work independently, take initiative, resolve technical challenges, and continuously develop expertise across SAP BTP technologies.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SAP BTP architecture and SAP Integration Suite components and use cases.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), including iFlow development, deployment, operation, and optimization.
  • Expertise in HTTPS, SFTP, IDoc, RFC, SOAP, and REST adapters.
  • Experience with graphical message mapping, XSLT, Java, and Groovy.
  • Knowledge of exception handling, retries, monitoring, tracing, and debugging.
  • Understanding of standard versus custom integration content.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP API Management, API lifecycle management, security policies, traffic management, versioning, and developer portals.
  • Understanding of clean-core principles, side-by-side extensibility, and hybrid and cloud-to-cloud integration patterns.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with SAP Event Mesh, including topics, queues, subscriptions, and asynchronous integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, business event scenarios, and enterprise event choreography.
  • Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Ariba.
  • Prior experience with SAP PI/PO.
