Our Hillsboro factory produces low-volume, high-complexity electron microscopy products used by semiconductor designers and manufacturers to create and improve their products and manufacturing processes. The Operations Engineering team supports the introduction of new products into the factory and the field, as well as ongoing improvements to products and the processes used to manufacture and service them.

As a Manufacturing & Electrical Engineer II, you’ll support this work by helping develop manufacturing processes, analyzing product and process data, and assisting with electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with New Product Development, Manufacturing, Technical Support, and Service teams. This is a hands-on role that includes time on the manufacturing floor and in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initiation through release, following the Product Management Process (PMP).
  • Assist with Technical Product Documentation (TPD), specifications, logistics, and document management.
  • Collect and analyze product and manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for design, process, and quality improvements.
  • Support sustaining projects, including component-obsolescence work for current and near-end-of-life products.
  • Help develop and improve manufacturing processes for new products, including build and test procedures and preventative maintenance plans for field-supported products.
  • Assist with electrical and system-level troubleshooting during product builds and in manufacturing or cleanroom environments.
  • Support failure analysis and follow-up on technical issues in partnership with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with tooling design or development for manufacturing and service to meet cycle-time and availability needs.
  • Prepare and deliver initial training for Manufacturing, Technical Support, and Service personnel on product build, test, installation, and repair procedures.
  • Support critical production and field issues with Global Technical Support and other teams.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering; or a combination of technical education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.

Experience

  • 1 or more years of experience as an Operations Engineer, Process Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or in a related field.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation, procedures, and engineering reports.
  • Experience analyzing data and using basic experimental methods, test protocols, and procedures.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
