Job Description

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you'll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world's toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

Description

As a Product Content Specialist III, you will manage and enhance technical product content so it is accurate, structured, and discoverable on our Thermo Fisher Scientific global web platform. You will coordinate with internal business divisions to launch new products and apply scientific knowledge—especially in molecular biology and genomics—to strengthen product information where relevant. Your work will help drive revenue growth by supporting customer search, product selection and purchasing decisions.

What will you do

  • Coordinate new product launches and content enhancements by collecting and reviewing product attributes, descriptions and images from internal business divisions.
  • Follow product authoring procedures to publish accurate, complete product information that meets corporate style standards, brand guidelines and quality expectations.
  • Apply scientific knowledge to interpret technical specifications, product applications, and terminology. Utilizing molecular biology and genomics knowledge as a secondary focus when working with relevant products and workflows.
  • Use an understanding of how customers evaluate scientific products to identify the attributes and relationships that support search, filtering, comparison, and product selection. For relevant molecular biology content, consider DNA and RNA sequencing, real-time PCR (qPCR), microarray, genomic, gene-expression, and molecular biology workflows.
  • Identify content gaps, inconsistencies, and data-quality issues. Partner with Product Management, suppliers, and appropriate scientific, clinical, regulatory, technical, or legal stakeholders to resolve them and validate information when needed.
  • Use emerging and AI-enabled tools responsibly to support content enrichment, classification, quality assurance, and workflow efficiency, with appropriate human review.
  • Communicate with business partners, IT, and other colleagues to deliver content on time. Collaborate across business, scientific, technical, clinical, and digital teams on content initiatives and continuous improvement, including through PPI.
  • Support the optimization of product attributes, taxonomy, terminology, and content relationships to strengthen consistency, discoverability, and machine readability across digital platforms.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferably molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology, biomedical science, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, applications, product attributes, and relevant scientific or clinical terminology, and identify when information requires validation by appropriate technical, Regulatory, Legal, Product Management, supplier, clinical, or other authoritative sources.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with genomics, molecular biology or chromatography technical product information, digital product content, product data, or a related field.
  • Strong spelling, grammar, editing, and writing skills, with exceptional attention to scientific and technical accuracy.
  • Experience working with product information management (PIM), content management (CMS), taxonomy, or structured product data is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify patterns, gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for content and data improvement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment, with strong project and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with scientific, technical, clinical, digital, and business stakeholders regarding project requirements, progress, risks, and deadlines.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with a demonstrated willingness to learn emerging technologies and evolve skills as content platforms, search, and AI capabilities advance.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
