Maintenance Director

The Terraces at Via Verde | San Dimas, CA | Full-Time

At The Terraces at Via Verde, an Agemark Senior Living community, we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents and team members. What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Team: Oversee Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry team members and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain the Community: Keep buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and vehicles—in excellent working condition.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Oversee inspections, fire drills, emergency preparedness, and compliance with applicable safety and building requirements.
  • Prepare for Move-Ins: Ensure apartments are clean, safe, and ready for new residents.
  • Manage Vendors & Budgets: Coordinate with contractors and vendors while effectively managing maintenance expenses.
  • Respond to Maintenance Needs: Address repair requests promptly and help maintain a welcoming environment for residents and team members.
  • Support the Community: Assist with transportation and other operational needs as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Maintenance Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading maintenance, facilities, or building operations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building systems, and general repairs.
  • Safety Focus: Understanding of workplace safety, inspections, emergency preparedness, and applicable regulations.
  • Strong Organization: Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple responsibilities, and stay on top of preventative maintenance.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A hands-on approach and ability to respond quickly when issues arise.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to respond to emergencies and changing community needs.
