About the Opportunity
The UPS Store in Santa Rosa is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales & Operations Manager to lead our team, drive revenue growth, and ensure the overall success of the store.
We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for sales, excellent customer service abilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of the store’s daily operations, consistently meet or exceed sales goals, and identify opportunities to grow the business.
Previous UPS Store experience is not required. We will provide training on the full range of products, services, and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Business Development
- Take ownership of achieving and exceeding monthly and annual store sales goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase store revenue and profitability.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses to generate repeat customers and new business.
- Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Motivate and coach employees to consistently achieve sales targets.
Store Operations & Management
- Oversee all aspects of daily store operations.
- Ensure the store operates efficiently, professionally, and profitably.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Manage employee schedules, staffing needs, and daily workflow.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain accountability for store performance and operational results.
Products & Services Expertise
The selected candidate will receive training and is expected to become proficient in all services offered by The UPS Store, including:
- Domestic and international shipping
- Professional packing and packaging solutions
- Printing, copying, and document services
- Mailbox rentals and business services
- Notary services and Live Scan fingerprinting, where available and subject to applicable qualifications
- Freight and specialty shipping solutions
- Retail products and additional revenue-generating services
The manager must develop a thorough understanding of these services to effectively educate customers, maximize sales opportunities, and train employees.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate store employees.
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable.
- Create a positive, productive, and sales-focused work environment.
- Lead by example through outstanding customer service, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Provide ongoing coaching to improve employee performance and sales results.
Qualifications
- Previous retail management, sales management, or business operations experience preferred.
- Proven ability to meet sales goals and drive business growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable learning new technology, systems, and services.
