Role Overview

You will be working with the Logistics Finance team, part of THG Fulfil, a fast-growing function of THG Ingenuity. You will be responsible for ensuring the foundations of our finance function remain strong. This involves maintaining high standards of financial controls, accurate balance sheets, commercial reporting, and effective management of client and supplier accounts to maximise working capital and minimise service disruption.

The role will support a variety of ongoing projects focused on improving efficiency through automation, which may involve working with data and technology teams. This position offers significant opportunities for career development for an individual keen to progress their finance career and develop an understanding of how processes work from a technical perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Month-end close, including variance analysis and commentary on cost and revenue movements against forecast and budget.
  • Validation of invoices against courier rate cards.
  • Liaising with couriers and logistics partners to query variances.
  • Weekly forecasting with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Providing valuable insights on postage data to senior finance and postage teams.
  • Posting cost, revenue and accrual journals.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Communicating with clients to resolve billing queries.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation.

Requirements

  • Working towards a finance qualification or already qualified.
  • Ability to handle large data sets.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
  • Experience with task automation and process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Sage would be beneficial.
