The posting

Tigera provides Calico, a unified network security and observability platform to prevent, detect and mitigate security breaches in Kubernetes clusters. Tigera’s open-source offering, Calico Open Source, is the most widely adopted container networking and security solution.

Powering more than 100M containers across 8M+ nodes in 166 countries, Calico software is supported across all major cloud providers and Kubernetes distributions, and is used by leading companies including Discover, Chipotle, NBCUniversal, HanseMerkur, Box, Siemens Healthineers, Playtech, Royal Bank of Canada, and Bell Canada.

As our team grows, we are looking for colleagues who not only share our passion for this work and growing our company, but who will also strengthen our company values and help ensure that Tigera remains a great place to work. At our core, our focus is on our customers, who are the heroes of our story; on aiming high and staying nimble in how we get there; on continuous learning to drive our success; and on respecting, collaborating, and supporting each other on a daily basis.

If you are looking to help make a substantial impact, and our values and products align with your vision of your career growth, we want to hear from you!

About your role

We are hiring an SDR Manager to lead our Vancouver and Cork teams and build a consistent engine for qualified meetings and pipeline. You will coach SDRs, sharpen targeting and messaging, and work closely with Sales, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Marketing Operations to improve conversion from first touch to sales opportunity.

Tigera works with technical buyers navigating Kubernetes networking and security, VM workloads on Kubernetes, and emerging AI security needs. You do not need to be a Kubernetes expert on day one, but you should be curious enough to learn the technology and help your team earn credible conversations with platform, infrastructure, networking, and security leaders.

This is a hands-on manager role. You will inspect the work, coach in real time, and build a repeatable motion while the team and market evolve.

This role is in person 4 days a week at our downtown office.

Vancouver salary range CAD $80,000 - CAD $100,000 base + generous bonus on meeting targets

You Will

Lead and develop the SDR team

  • Manage, coach, and develop SDRs in Vancouver and Cork, with a working cadence that supports both locations.
  • Set clear expectations for activity quality, account research, meeting qualification, and follow-through.
  • Review calls, emails, and account plans; provide specific coaching that improves conversations and conversion.
  • Help hire and onboard SDRs as the team grows.

Build a productive outbound motion

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to prioritize accounts, buyer roles, and use cases.
  • Build and test relevant messaging, sequences, call approaches, and follow-up plays in Outreach.
  • Turn campaign, event, partner, and inbound interest into timely, well-qualified sales conversations.
  • Maintain clean handoffs with account executives, including meeting context, qualification notes, and next steps.

Own performance and improvement

  • Set goals and report on qualified meetings held, meeting-to-opportunity conversion, SDR-sourced pipeline, and productivity by rep and segment.
  • Use Outreach and CRM data to spot bottlenecks, test changes, and share what the market is telling us.
  • Work with Sales leadership to agree on meeting quality standards and review outcomes regularly.

You have

  • 2+ Yrs experience coaching or managing SDRs in B2B technology sales, or a strong track record as an SDR team lead ready to take formal management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate qualified meetings and pipeline through thoughtful outbound prospecting.
  • Hands-on experience with Outreach or a comparable sales engagement platform, plus disciplined CRM use.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, including the ability to coach clear, credible outreach to enterprise buyers.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; you can diagnose a conversion problem and coach a practical fix.
  • Interest in technical products and the ability to learn enough to ask useful questions and explain customer problems accurately.
  • Ability to work from the Vancouver office and collaborate regularly with teammates in Cork.

A degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field is a plus. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, or cybersecurity is also a plus. We welcome candidates who want to grow their careers in technical sales, sales leadership, or solution architecture.

You will thrive here if

You care about the quality of the conversation as much as the number of meetings. You enjoy coaching people, testing a message, learning how a technical product solves a real problem, and building a team that Sales trusts.

How success will be measured

  • Qualified meetings held with priority accounts and buyer roles
  • Meeting acceptance and conversion to opportunities
  • SDR-sourced and SDR-influenced pipeline
  • Rep development, consistency, and retention
  • Outreach quality, follow-up discipline, and market feedback

With offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Vancouver (Canada), Cork (Ireland), and London (England), we have a thriving team of diverse individuals from all over the world. We believe in a collaborative, flexible work environment based on respect for, and commitment from, every employee. We also offer a competitive compensation package along with full health, vision, and dental benefits. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
