The TikTok Open Platform team is on a mission to build a platform that bridges content, people and business in TikTok ecosystem. The team focuses on building cross-platform features for both developers and TikTok users, including APIs, SDKs, and InApp services. The platform will enable more interactions across TikTok and its broader ecosystem, enhancing cross-product business values.
As a Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful short-term projects and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. Responsibilities: -Own the end-to-end delivery of Open Platform APIs, covering both server-side and client-side development. -Design and implement an "Agent-driven" delivery model for Open API development — leveraging AI Agents to accelerate the full engineering lifecycle from PRD to coding, testing, and release. -Safeguard the security of the open ecosystem; empower ecosystem developers through technical capabilities, and build a secure, robust, and thriving open platform ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications: - Undergraduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. - Solid coding skills in at least one of Python, Java, Golang, C++, or C - Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale architecture - AI mindset and hands-on delivery capability: Goes beyond proficiency with AI tools — able to apply AI rapidly to complex, real-world scenarios, independently handling problem decomposition, solution design, validation, and end-to-end delivery. - Engineering and productization of AI solutions: Able to transform everyday AI problem-solving experience into reliable, reusable, and maintainable tools or systems — such as automated workflows, Agents, or internal platforms.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong personal projects, open-source contributions, technical blogging, or competition experience.
