Corporate Communications handles media relations, executive communications, policy and legal comms, crisis and issues management, and company-wide messaging on topics at the center of public debate, including AI, regulation, product changes, and fast-moving news cycles.

This is high-stakes, fast-turn work. We navigate competing stakeholders, tight deadlines, and intense public scrutiny to set a coherent narrative and protect the company's reputation. You will partner with product, policy, legal, and regional teams to translate complicated, highly visible issues into narratives that hold up with the press, policymakers, and the public.

About the Team The Trust & Safety, AI and Technology Communications team tells the story of how our products work, developing campaigns and messaging that educate users, journalists, and policymakers on everything from product features and AI innovation to safety policies, youth protection, privacy, security, and content moderation.

As AI and new technologies reshape how people create, discover, and connect, we help make complex and fast-moving topics clear, credible, and relatable. We champion safety, privacy, and security by design, while advising teams on PR risk during product development, responding to emerging issues, and preparing our spokespeople to speak confidently about our most critical work.

About the Role We’re looking for an experienced communications leader to join TikTok’s Trust & Safety, AI and Technology Communications team as part of the Global Communications organization. In this role, you will lead product communications for key TikTok product launches and feature updates, helping shape how our product innovation is understood by media, external stakeholders, and internal partners around the world. You will work cross-functionally with product, legal, public policy, trust and safety, and regional communications teams to develop clear messaging, drive launch strategies, and support coordinated execution across markets. The successful candidate will craft compelling product narratives, build strong relationships with product leaders and product and technology media, and provide strategic communications counsel on both proactive announcements and sensitive issues. They should be a strong writer and strategic thinker, with excellent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively across time zones and in high-stakes moments.

Responsibilities - Lead the development and execution of global communications strategies for TikTok product launches, feature announcements, and key product moments. - Define and evolve clear, compelling product narratives that support business priorities and resonate with a broad range of audiences, including media, creators, partners, policymakers, and internal stakeholders. - Partner closely with product, marketing, legal, public policy, trust and safety, and regional communications teams to ensure messaging alignment and coordinated execution across markets. - Build strong, trusted relationships with senior product and business leaders, providing strategic counsel on communications opportunities, launch readiness, and reputational considerations. - Drive end-to-end communications planning for major launches, including message development, press strategy, FAQs, briefing materials, executive talking points, and stakeholder communications. - Lead and strengthen the communications risk review process, helping teams assess reputational considerations, identify sensitive issues, and ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and compliant. - Develop scalable frameworks, processes, and guidance to improve cross-functional coordination, launch preparedness, and narrative consistency globally. - Translate complex product features, policy considerations, and business priorities into clear, audience-relevant communications materials. - Provide leadership across regions and time zones, setting a high bar for collaboration, operational excellence, and execution. - Monitor the external landscape and emerging issues to inform proactive communications planning and strategic narrative development.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Extensive product communications experience, ideally within technology, consumer technology, internet, or platform companies, with a proven track record of leading high-profile product launches and strategic communications programs in a global, matrixed organization. - Strong ability to translate product strategy, technical concepts, and business priorities into clear and compelling narratives, with experience drafting press materials, messaging frameworks, Q&As, briefing documents, and executive communications. - Demonstrated experience managing sensitive issues and reputational risk with sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail. - Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across regions, cultures, and time zones. - Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment while demonstrating ownership, adaptability, and resilience.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience working across U.S. and APAC markets. - Experience supporting communications review or risk-assessment processes for product or corporate initiatives.
