Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Planning: Develop project timelines, material delivery schedules, and scope of work for residential or commercial renovations.
  • Site Management & Supervision: Conduct regular site inspections to track progress, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and verify workmanship.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Schedule and coordinate various trades (e.g., hacking, plumbing, carpentry, electrical) to eliminate downtime.
  • Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing progress updates, managing expectations, and negotiating variation orders.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor expenses, source materials cost-effectively, and verify milestone completions for progressive payments.
  • Compliance & Paperwork: Secure necessary building licenses, permits, and ensure all works comply with local building codes. [1, 2]

Core Requirements

  • Experience: Typically 3 to 5+ years of operational project management experience in interior design, renovation, or fit-out industries.
  • Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with regional building regulations and specific property guidelines (such as HDB or BCA regulations in Singapore).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to handle real-time site constraints and unexpected delays.
