The role
TOMORROW is hiring an Engagement Manager to lead client engagements across our global portfolio. Our clients include some of the most iconic and fast-moving names in global retail, and we advise them across North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC, supporting work in the U.S., Canada, China, Australia, Singapore, Chile, South Africa and beyond.
You are the primary day-to-day client lead: shaping the approach, running the research and analysis, owning the financial modeling and business cases, and landing recommendations with senior stakeholders. You will also mentor junior consultants and contribute to proposal development, working alongside former operators who have scaled global eCommerce platforms, launched omnichannel programs across markets and built retail media businesses from scratch.
Role details
- Type: Full-time
- Team: Strategy & Consulting
- Location: Remote. North America preferred; we are also open to candidates based in Australia, Hong Kong or Singapore
- Coverage: Global. Our clients span North America, EMEA, LATAM and APAC, and engagements are staffed on fit rather than geography.
- Start: ASAP, target within approximately one month
What you'll work on
- Engagement leadership: Lead end-to-end client engagements, structuring complex problems into clear workplans and driving teams toward actionable outcomes.
- Research and analysis: Own research and analysis efforts, ensuring rigor across both desktop and primary research, including expert interviews and market studies.
- Executive communication: Develop and deliver executive-ready presentations that translate complex ideas into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Financial modeling and business cases: Oversee the development of financial models, business cases and go-to-market strategies, from initial hypothesis through final recommendation.
- Client leadership: Serve as the primary day-to-day client lead, managing senior stakeholder relationships and ensuring quality, impact and alignment throughout the engagement.
- Team development: Mentor and guide junior consultants, providing direction, feedback and coaching to elevate team performance.
- Business development: Contribute to proposal development and support senior leadership in shaping new client opportunities.
About you
- 10+ years in retail and eCommerce leadership: Hands-on experience including Director-level accountability across functions such as Omnichannel, Merchandising, Strategy, Operations, Finance or Analytics.
- Enterprise strategy, through execution: You have led market definition, opportunity sizing, competitive assessment and go-to-market planning, and driven the results through delivery.
- Digital transformation: You have led transformation initiatives and understand what it takes to evolve into a truly omnichannel business.
- Trusted with senior stakeholders: Comfortable owning client relationships and operating as a thought partner to executive teams.
- Analytical rigor: You build business cases from first principles and hold the thinking to a high standard from hypothesis to final recommendation.
- You develop people: You build and mentor high-performing teams, providing the structure, clarity and feedback that lifts outcomes.
- Exceptional communicator: You craft and deliver executive-level presentations that resonate with C-suite audiences.
- Strategy with operational practicality: You translate data into insights and insights into measurable impact, and take full accountability for both the quality of thinking and the impact of delivery.
Nice to have
- An MBA from a leading business school is valued, not required. Equivalent formal strategic training or a top-tier consulting background carries the same weight.
- Experience at a management consulting or strategy firm, particularly in retail or consumer.
- Depth in a TOMORROW focus area: loyalty, retail media, data monetization, personalization or new business model launch.
Why TOMORROW
We're a small team of former operators. You'll work directly with partners who have run the kind of business you're advising, and you'll present your own work to the client. No slide gets built for its own sake. The advice we give is the advice we'd follow with our own P&L, and the impact you make here is bigger than your role on paper.
- Global exposure: Work with clients and teams across four continents.
- Real impact: You will be client-facing and helping steer transformation from day one.
- Elite team, boutique feel: We combine strategic rigor with autonomy and agility.
- Competitive pay: We match leading consulting firms in compensation, with more flexibility and visibility.
- Growth runway: Learn directly from former C-suite leaders and experienced digital operators.
How we work
Four behaviors show up in every project, every team, every conversation.
- Operators who love to help: We start with the end in mind. Where are you going, and how do we help you go further? We solve real problems and craft practical solutions, and we take the lead on the journey together.
- Candid, with a strong point of view: Being effective advisors means having the courage to take a view. We seek and give great feedback. We care enough to be honest. That's what helps clients, and each other, move forward.
- Humble and inclusive, hearing before solving: We may be experienced, but we're always learning. We respect the people we meet on every journey, and we embrace what makes each of us different.
- Never satisfied with "good enough": We push harder and dig for new perspectives. We're tuned to where digital commerce is going next, and our solutions are built to actually help clients break through.
Equal opportunity
TOMORROW is committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the retailers and customers we serve. We welcome applicants of every background, identity and experience. If you need any adjustments to take part in our hiring process, tell us and we'll make it work.
