Reports to: Fiberglass Manager

The Detailer I’s responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company sales and safety requirements. The position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day according to the schedule agreed upon with your manager. Marina operating hours range from 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Assess the condition of gel coat/paint and recommend proper maintenance protocol
  2. Wash, buff, and wax deck and hull
  3. Apply bottom paint to sail and power boats
  4. Possess knowledge of proper operation of hand and hand-held air/electric tools and apply to work
  5. Follow all procedures pertaining to safety and personal protection equipment
  6. Ensure quality of work performed

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Ability to speak and read English to follow instructions on work orders as well as understand product and manual instructions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
  • Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Strong work ethic and personal commitment
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to work comfortably around water
  • Ability to work in tight spaces
  • Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
  • Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
