About Torex Gold

“Our purpose is to transform finite mineral resources into lasting prosperity

by positively impacting all the lives we touch.”

We are a Canadian mining company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of gold, copper, and silver from our flagship Morelos Complex in Guerrero, which is currently Mexico’s largest single gold producer. The Company also owns the advanced-stage Los Reyes gold-silver project in Sinaloa, Mexico, and a portfolio of early-stage exploration properties, including the Batopilas and Guigui projects in Chihuahua, Mexico, and the Medicine Springs project in Nevada, USA as well as an option to acquire the Gryphon project in Nevada, USA.

Torex consistently delivers on our commitments guided by our key strategic objectives: optimize Morelos production and costs; disciplined growth and capital allocation; grow reserves and resources; project delivery excellence; retain and attract best industry talent; and be an industry leader in responsible mining. In addition to realizing the full potential of the Morelos Property, the Company continues to seek opportunities to acquire assets that enable diversification and deliver value to shareholders.

We have proven over the past decade that we can make a positive impact on people’s lives and the environment around us, all while improving safety, achieving operational efficiencies, realizing cost reductions, and generating positive return on investment. This is what makes us strong. This is the Torex way.

What We're Looking for:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mineral Processing Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer designation is considered an asset.

Experience & Skills:

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive technical, operational, engineering, and leadership experience, including at least 5 years in process operations.
  • Hands-on operational metallurgy experience in gold processing. Experience developed primarily in a laboratory environment will not be sufficient for this role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of flotation and leaching processes.
  • Experience in precious and base metals processing, including water systems and tailings management.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets, metallurgical balances, plant inventories, and performance trends.
  • Experience reconciling predicted metallurgical or geometallurgical performance against actual plant results and investigating variances.
  • Ability to review technical documentation, coordinate consultants, and support small-scale process improvement initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with site and corporate stakeholders.
  • Ability to present technical findings clearly, collaborate with peers and site leaders, and influence decisions without direct authority.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to site 50% of the time.

Preferred

  • Experience with complex or non-conventional processing flowsheets and challenging ore bodies.
  • Experience working in multicultural environments and across site and corporate teams.
  • Experience coordinating RFQs, purchase orders, invoices, budgets, and other administrative requirements related to technical initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze and validate daily metallurgical reports, identify positive and negative operating trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Support the detailed validation of month-end metallurgical balances and plant inventories, including the tracking of gold, silver, and copper in circuit, and report anomalies or deviations.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize processing, metallurgy, and geometallurgy data to support operational performance, planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
  • Support metallurgical and geometallurgical test work and validate recovery models against actual plant performance.
  • Correlate mineralogical characteristics, including tellurides, deleterious elements, and abnormal sulphide content, with leaching kinetics and flotation performance to improve mine-to-mill strategies.
  • Reconcile predicted metallurgical and geometallurgical performance against plant results, investigate variances, and help refine recovery models and life-of-mine metal assumptions.
  • Track plant consumables and reagent use against budget and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead the initial analysis and coordinate the execution of small-scale operational improvement initiatives, assessing impacts on flows, recovery, reagent consumption, and hydraulics.
  • Coordinate work completed by consultants, review technical documentation, and advise the Team Leader of deviations, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Coordinate logistics, RFQs, purchase orders, invoices, budget follow-up, and related administrative activities for metallurgy and process initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
