Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Senior Briefing Specialist to deliver world-class customer, executive, partner, analyst, and sales engagement experiences within our Commerce Innovation Studio (CIS) and Executive Briefing Center (EBC). This highly visible role combines customer engagement, technology demonstrations, business storytelling, event execution, and operational excellence to create memorable experiences that showcase Toshiba's innovative retail technology portfolio.

Working closely with sales, marketing, product management, solution architects, software developers, hardware specialists, and innovation leaders, the Senior Briefing Specialist develops a deep understanding of Toshiba's retail ecosystem and translates complex technologies into compelling business value stories. The individual serves as a trusted ambassador of the Toshiba brand, ensuring every briefing, demonstration, and hosted event delivers meaningful business outcomes and strengthens customer relationships.

The ideal candidate is an engaging presenter, exceptional organizer, and customer advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment while balancing strategic planning with flawless execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Retail Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles involving retail technology, presentations, sales support, training, hospitality, executive briefings, customer experience programs, or related environments.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent events and deliver white-glove customer experiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, timelines, dependencies, and priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Copilot, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to confidently engage with customers, executives, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within retail technology, retail operations, customer experience, or technology demonstration environments.
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems, self-checkout solutions, retail software platforms, or store operations technologies.
  • Experience supporting executive briefing centers, innovation centers, experience centers, customer engagement programs, or demonstration environments.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, automation, computer vision, cloud platforms, and data analytics.
  • Experience coordinating executive meetings, event logistics, catering, scheduling, and hospitality services.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership and represent a brand in high-profile customer-facing situations.
  • Demonstrated success delivering engaging presentations, demonstrations, and events.
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

Customer Storytelling & Solution Demonstrations

  • Deliver engaging, customer-centric presentations and demonstrations that align Toshiba's capabilities with customer business objectives and retail challenges.
  • Translate technical features and solution capabilities into compelling business outcomes for executive and operational audiences.
  • Conduct demonstrations of Toshiba hardware, software, self-checkout, point-of-sale, store operations, and connected retail solutions.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize demonstration environments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Continuously expand expertise in emerging retail technologies and industry trends, including AI, automation, computer vision, cloud technologies, and advanced analytics.
  • Recommend enhancements to demonstration content, briefing experiences, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with product, innovation, and solution teams to ensure demonstrations reflect the latest capabilities and market trends.

Toshiba-Owned & Hosted Events

  • Support the planning and execution of customer briefings, executive meetings, quarterly business reviews, webinars, analyst engagements, partner events, and internal corporate events.
  • Serve as a host and customer advocate throughout all engagement activities.
  • Facilitate executive, customer, analyst, and partner meetings while ensuring a professional, high-touch experience.
  • Tailor messaging, content, demonstrations, and customer journeys to address audience-specific business needs and priorities.
  • Partner with sales, product, and marketing teams to create differentiated customer experiences that highlight innovation and measurable business value.
  • Contribute to positioning Toshiba as a thought leader within the retail technology industry.

Executive Briefing Center & Customer Experience Management

  • Manage the operational execution of Executive Briefing Center and Commerce Innovation Studio engagements.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent briefing schedules while maintaining exceptional service standards and flawless execution.
  • Oversee planning activities including agenda development, room preparation, catering coordination, executive hosting, logistics, and customer communications.
  • Manage strategic scheduling and execution of high-impact customer, partner, and executive engagements.
  • Maintain briefing records, objectives, attendee information, outcomes, and post-event documentation within briefing management systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, expense tracking, AI-enabled efficiencies, and operational best practices.
  • Develop and maintain broad expertise across Toshiba's retail solutions portfolio, including: Point-of-sale systems Self-checkout solutions Retail software platforms Loss prevention technologies Store operations solutions Digital commerce integrations Retail analytics platforms AI-enabled retail technologies Hardware peripherals and connected devices
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

This role directly contributes to Toshiba's ability to build stronger customer relationships, enhance brand perception, and increase customer engagement through strategic executive briefing experiences and hosted events. High-impact customer engagements help accelerate sales opportunities, influence pipeline growth, improve win rates, strengthen customer loyalty, support cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. The position plays an important role in supporting marketing-influenced pipeline growth, increasing customer lifetime value, and reinforcing Toshiba's position as a trusted retail technology leader.

The Senior Briefing Specialist operates in a highly visible, fast-paced environment that requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. The role demands coordination across sales, marketing, product management, engineering, executive leadership, and customer stakeholders while simultaneously managing multiple engagements with unique objectives, audiences, and logistical requirements.

Success requires exceptional organization, adaptability, problem-solving skills, executive presence, and the ability to deliver polished experiences under tight deadlines while ensuring every interaction reinforces Toshiba's brand, innovation leadership, and customer commitment. The Senior Briefing Specialist is also responsible for maintaining accurate records within briefing management systems, including agenda updates, attendee details, objectives, outcomes, and other critical engagement information to ensure successful execution and continuous improvement of the customer experience.
