Who We’re Looking For

Toyota Information Technology’s OneTech Digital Products Department is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to support the implementation, reliability, and operational excellence of infrastructure and platform capabilities at Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC).

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical leadership for platform and infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable systems that align with OneTech and TMNA standards. This includes supporting platform services and integrated systems across multiple OneTech pillars, including Supply Chain, Corporate Services, Manufacturing, and others.

This role will also lead and manage a third-party system integration team to ensure efficient backlog execution, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement in team performance. You will collaborate with functional leaders to intake, prioritize, and allocate work while ensuring Agile practices are followed and key performance metrics are monitored.

Reporting to the Digital Platform and Infrastructure Engineering Manager at TBMNC, this person will support the Digital Products department’s objective of successfully implementing the OneTech systems required for the launch of the North Carolina Battery Plant and future plants. This role also supports the BEV Manufacturing Systems organization by driving seamless system integration, maintaining platform stability, and helping achieve broader organizational goals.

This position is based in Liberty, NC. Toyota encourages employees to live within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned work location.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of infrastructure and platform solutions for internal customers.
  • Own and maintain technical platform components, with a focus on reliability, scalability, performance, and supportability.
  • Support integration patterns between enterprise systems, databases, manufacturing platforms, and infrastructure services to ensure secure and efficient data flow.
  • Write, optimize, and support SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-facing integrations to enable reporting, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Monitor and improve platform performance by identifying bottlenecks, tuning system behavior, and reducing latency across infrastructure and data flows.
  • Troubleshoot platform, integration, and database-related issues; perform root cause analysis; and implement permanent resolutions.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and operational issues related to owned platforms and systems.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for infrastructure, configurations, integrations, operational procedures, and support processes.
  • Collaborate with Digital Products and Services strategy teams to align TBMNC platform initiatives with TMNA standards and architecture direction.
  • Support deployment and optimization of business-critical platforms, including manufacturing, MES, MOM, and related enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain production reporting, KPI metrics, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions leveraging SQL and platform data sources.
  • Support integration of manufacturing equipment, plant systems, and databases.
  • Partner with system engineers, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve technical operations, data flows, and system observability.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment requiring strong understanding of production processes, infrastructure platforms, web-based technologies, and manufacturing software ecosystems.
  • Specifically need working experience with Nutanix virtualization technologies, Siemens MOM applications, SQL, and Postgres.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years experience supporting infrastructure, platform engineering, system integration, or operations in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience with databases, reporting solutions, and data integration across systems.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Siemens OpCenter, MES, MOM, or related manufacturing platforms.
  • Understanding of infrastructure and platform concepts such as availability, resiliency, access management, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications and supporting technical connectivity across systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution in partnership with internal and external teams.
  • Experience with Agile delivery practices, backlog management, and operational prioritization using tools such as Jira and Git.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting system performance tuning, load testing, and optimization of integrated platforms.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and development/support tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, or IntelliJ IDEA.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
