Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Manufacturing Information Systems Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Sr. Engineer - IT Service Delivery and Relationship Management.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be a central point of contact for all IT activities, including information system (IS) initiatives, such as infrastructure upgrades, local and regional application rollout support, and partnering with production engineering for manufacturing plant expansions. This role is responsible for leading a team of contract staff under the managed services agreement.
Reporting to the Manager - IT Service Delivery and Relationship Management, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing Information Services department's objective to maintain and support mission critical systems and end users.
What you’ll be doing
- The primary focus is to provide a reliable technical infrastructure to serve the TMMTN facility, which includes technologies, systems, servers, networks, applications, and capacity planning and configuration management
- Provides advanced technical leadership to TCS Managed Services leveraging knowledge and resources to run, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot servers, desktops, telecom, audio/video equipment, wired network and wireless networks
- Engages all necessary parties including more senior individuals in order to convince and influence them to address and resolve issues impacting business
- Leverages process expertise to frame complex, diverse problems / issues enabling resolution and/or wide range of decisions; identifies, approves, and implements process improvements; defines, frames, and integrates new customer requirements
- Identifies new and better ways of meeting customer needs using all available tool and resources and to forecast future needs
- Address non-standard situations and requests, providing viable recommendations, solutions, and guidance
- Provide consultation and support for major projects and initiatives
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 3 or more years of demonstrated IT support experience
- Experience managing small-to-medium IS projects (up to $500k), and supporting medium-sized teams of 4 – 10 people
- High-level communication skills to influence and persuade others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts to make recommendations to management
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience working in the Toyota environment
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
Added bonus if you have
- Detailed knowledge and experience with technologies and methodologies within a manufacturing environment
- Master’s Degree
- Experience implementing systems using any of the Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
