About the role:

This role is a Community Manager/Community Engagement Specialist focused on building and growing Omada's online user communities across platforms such as Reddit and Discord. The position involves planning and executing community campaigns, AMAs, contests, and product launches while creating engaging content that encourages discussion and user participation. The role also requires actively interacting with members, fostering a positive community culture, recognizing top contributors, and gathering user feedback to improve both the community experience and products.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent writing skills, a deep understanding of Reddit and online community dynamics, and a genuine interest in technology. Success in this role depends on building trust through authentic engagement, analyzing community performance metrics, and developing long-term relationships with users. Experience managing online communities, running engagement programs, and an interest in networking, smart home technology, or related tech fields would be valuable assets.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the user operations team to plan and execute community campaigns, AMAs, contests, and product launch activities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of Omada's Reddit community and Discord, with potential expansion to Facebook Groups and other platforms
  • Plan and publish recurring content, including discussions, setup showcases, polls, user stories, and product-related topics
  • Engage with community members, encourage meaningful conversations, and build an active, welcoming community culture
  • Identify and develop core contributors through recognition programs, user roles, and long-term relationship building

Track the right signals for each platform (community growth and content performance on Reddit, engagement and relationship depth on Discord) and turn user feedback into continuous improvements

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • Exceptional writing skills with a natural voice that reads as authentic to a technical, marketing-skeptical audience
  • Familiarity with Reddit culture and an understanding of how different community platforms operate
  • Understands the ethics of authentic community participation (transparency, disclosure, and no manipulation) and knows that credibility, not reach, is what earns a technical community's trust
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable building programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine interest in community engagement, user relationships, and technology products
  • Strong logical thinking and consistently approaches problems from the user's perspective

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience managing Reddit, Facebook Groups, Discord, forums, or other online communities
  • Interest in networking, Wi-Fi, homelabs, smart home, or B2B technology
  • Experience planning community content, campaigns, AMAs, contests, or user recognition programs
  • Basic understanding of community metrics, engagement analysis, and performance reporting
  • Enjoys discussing network setups, product experiences, and deployment best practices with tech enthusiasts

Benefits

Salary Range: $73,500 - $100,000

  • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (partial coverage for dependents)
  • Contributions to 401k funds
  • Over four weeks of PTO per year
  • Bi-annual pay increases
  • Health and wellness benefits, including free gym membership
  • Quarterly team-building events

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
