Role Overview

The successful candidate will bring strong delivery discipline (planning, governance, RAID management, and stakeholder communication) plus sufficient product knowledge to manage priorities and dependencies across a portfolio of work. You will define and communicate delivery roadmaps, manage risks and issues, and drive timely decisions to ensure projects deliver agreed outcomes within appropriate controls.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own end to end delivery of technology change across Rates & FX hybrid broking platforms (voice and electronic), including BAU enhancements, regulatory change, and integration programmes.
  • Work with business sponsors and portfolio stakeholders to ensure proposed initiatives align to strategic objectives and maintain a clear delivery roadmap for the portfolio.
  • Build and manage integrated project plans, milestones, and delivery commitments; track progress and proactively manage dependencies across workstreams.
  • Coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams (e.g., IT development, Compliance, Operations, Data, Infrastructure), ensuring clear ownership, sequencing, and operational readiness.
  • Implement and own project and portfolio governance routines (status reporting, steering forums, change control), providing appropriate oversight and transparency.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues with portfolio impact; maintain RAID logs and escalate promptly to protect delivery outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance and sponsors to track budgets, forecasts, and approvals; ensure spend is monitored and controlled in line with agreed governance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for delivery communications, providing clear, regular status updates to senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Drive delivery execution in SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments, adapting ways of working to meet business outcomes and control requirements.
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing deadlines and priorities, remaining flexible in a dynamic environment with changing requirements.
  • Leverage AI-assisted delivery tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Kiro or equivalent AI-enabled development/productivity platforms) to improve delivery efficiency, documentation quality, and decision-making.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled workflows across project and delivery teams (e.g., automated status reporting, requirement summarization, backlog refinement, and release readiness tracking).
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to identify opportunities where AI can accelerate SDLC processes (e.g., test generation, code analysis, incident triage).
  • Promote continuous improvement through data-driven and AI-supported insights, focusing on delivery predictability, risk reduction, and quality outcomes.

Experience/Competences

Essential

  • Proven track record delivering technology change in financial services, ideally within Rates & FX trading technology (voice, electronic, and hybrid broking).
  • Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams, including geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong delivery discipline: planning, milestone management, governance routines, and clear status reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, driving timely decisions to protect delivery outcomes.
  • Experience working with Finance to track budgets/forecasting and to support approval and control processes (where applicable).
  • Strong understanding of at least one product category: Rates (Government and Sovereign Bonds, Repos, Basis Swap, Swaptions, and Inflation Swaps) FX (Spot Forwards, NDFs, and Options) Equities (Cash Equities, Equity Options, and Structured Products) or Credit (Corporate Credit, Single-Name and Index Credit Default Swaps)
  • In‑depth knowledge of hybrid broking models, including voice trading and broker-assisted workflows, electronic and hybrid execution models, and trade and order capture across multiple venues and systems.
  • Strong understanding of front‑to‑back trading workflows, including Front Office (pricing, execution, voice and electronic broking), Middle Office (controls, validation, STP and exception management), and Back Office (confirmations, clearing, settlement, invoicing and payments).

Desired

  • Awareness of relevant regulatory and control frameworks, including MTFs, MiFID, FCA, EMIR, and market surveillance.
  • General understanding and experience with trading infrastructure, managing and understanding basic requirements around compute (cloud and on prem), databases, networking, etc.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Kiro, or similar platforms) to enhance delivery workflows, documentation, and team productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI-assisted practices into project lifecycle activities (planning, requirements definition, testing coordination, and reporting).
  • Strong understanding of how AI can be applied within SDLC and DevOps environments, including automated documentation and summarization, AI-assisted backlog and requirements management, test case generation and quality assurance support, and incident and operational insight analysis.
  • Awareness of risks and controls associated with AI usage in financial services, including data privacy, model transparency, and auditability.

Communication & Stakeholder Management (Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and structured documentation.
  • Confident engaging with senior Front Office stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Ability to interpret complex trading concepts and communicate effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Service‑oriented, adaptable, resilient, and results‑focused.

Technology & Methodology

  • Experience working within SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies, applying the right level of planning and governance for the initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and delivery tooling; experience with Microsoft Project and Visio (and/or BPMN 2.0) for planning and process modelling.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC and release practices, with a focus on operational readiness and controlled implementation.
  • Experience integrating AI-assisted tooling into delivery processes (e.g., Copilot-enabled documentation, AI-supported backlog management, automation of reporting and governance artifacts).
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, and containerized environments, with an understanding of how AI tools can enhance these practices.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
