About the Position

As part of the Content Operations and Implementation team, the Specialist, Content Operations, owns the setup, configuration, and quality of products and content across The Princeton Review’s portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, Content Operations & Implementation, this role serves as a subject-matter expert on our content and entitlement systems, using independent judgment to determine how requirements are implemented, resolve complex issues, and improve how the team works.

This person ensures students and families have timely access to the right content in their products. They manage requests from intake to delivery, own vendor deliverables, and use AI tools and automation to help the team move faster.

What You’ll Do

Product & Content Operations

  • Own the setup, configuration, and maintenance of products and content across internal assessment, content management, and customer entitlement systems.
  • Independently determine the right configuration or implementation approach for complex product and content requirements.
  • Lead product setups, content updates, and system-wide changes, delivering accurately and on schedule against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned systems and product areas, advising product, editorial, and technology partners on how requirements can best be implemented.

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Own testing and validation across development, staging, and production environments, including deciding what needs to be tested and when a change is ready for release.
  • Verify content access, entitlements, and assessment configurations so issues are caught before they reach students.
  • Independently diagnose and resolve complex content and product configuration issues, identifying root causes and putting fixes in place.

Ticket & Request Management

  • Own ticket and request flows from intake through closure, evaluating requirements and determining the right approach and resource for each request.
  • Prioritize competing requests from multiple stakeholders within established business requirements.
  • Own vendor deliverables, including defining task specifications, setting quality expectations, reviewing completed work, and holding vendor partners accountable to deadlines.
  • Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Analyze recurring issues and independently design process improvements that reduce errors and turnaround time.
  • Evaluate competing solutions and recommend system or workflow changes that affect product functionality, operational processes, or customer experience.
  • Apply AI tools and automation to accelerate content data setup, bulk updates, and repetitive workflows.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Create and maintain the team’s process documentation, runbooks, and checklists, keeping them accurate as systems and workflows change.
  • Share expertise with colleagues and cross-functional partners through training, job aids, and knowledge-base content.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent business experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product operations, content operations, or a complex data systems role, preferably in education technology.
  • Hands-on experience configuring content or product data in complex, homegrown systems, with the curiosity to learn how tools, processes, and data flows connect.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel and comfort working with large volumes of data; SQL experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with AI tools to accelerate data management and updates, or a demonstrated eagerness to build that skill quickly.
  • Experience managing vendor partners or external resources, including setting expectations and reviewing deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a workload independently, exercise sound judgment in prioritizing competing requests, and resolve complex system or data issues without close supervision.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of front-end web development concepts (e.g., HTML/CSS).
  • Experience with QA or testing across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Experience with ticketing and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), including writing clear, step-by-step process documentation.

The Princeton Review and Tutor.com offer a competitive salary which commensurates with experience and skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
