Job Description

Objective of Position:

The Applications Developer I assists in the development, support, and enhancement of business applications and related technologies that support Trail King's operations. Working under general supervision, this position develops technical and business knowledge while utilizing approved development and AI-assisted tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. Responsibilities for all systems include assisting with user support, software maintenance, and day-to-day operations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with developing, designing, maintaining, and supporting business applications using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and other approved development tools and technologies to support Trail King's business operations.
  2. Assist in the development and support of system integrations, APIs, XML processes, automated workflows, interfaces to iSeries data, PaperLess MES application SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI, and other business productivity and reporting solutions.
  3. Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, stored procedures, and data extracts to support operational and reporting needs.
  4. Assist with the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SQL Server databases and related systems.
  5. Utilize approved AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, technical research, and continuous learning while validating all generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability.
  6. Utilize company selected application for source control and documentation maintaining detailed documentation of system changes, configurations, standard work and user usage instructions.
  7. Maintain network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  8. Provide IT Technical Support in facility as needed including hardware and network support.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2 years IT related college degree plus a minimum of 1 to 4 years of IT experience.
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience with Application Development using .Net, C#, PowerApp, and other programming languages.
  3. Minimum of 1 year experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
  4. Working knowledge of application development concepts, programming languages, database systems, and software development practices.
  5. Possess the ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships within all levels of Trail King.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
  7. Organized project management skills including critical thinking, problem solving, active listening and prioritization.
