The firm is recognized for its ability to mobilize highly skilled international and local talent, including expatriate technical experts, consultants, and project specialists, to support critical operations and infrastructure development.

Job Description

FPSO Product Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Develop medium & long-term FPSO product roadmap covering standard modular FPSO, deepwater FPSO, low-carbon FPSO, marginal field compact FPSO and asset life extension packages, aligning with global offshore energy transition trends.
  • Conduct continuous market & competitor analysis on FPSO newbuild/conversion yard capacity, pricing models, technical differentiation, client capital expenditure cycles and regional project pipelines (Brazil, West Africa, Southeast Asia, North Sea).
  • Define product value propositions, technical-commercial differentiation, cost benchmarking and profitability targets for each FPSO product variant.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with engineering, technical design, supply chain and cost teams to optimize product design for market competitiveness and margin control.

2. Global Business Development & Client Executive Management

  • Build and maintain C-level strategic relationships with global NOCs, IOCs, independent operators, FPSO owners, fund investors and offshore contractors; act as primary executive liaison for top-tier clients.
  • Originate, qualify and progress high-value FPSO project leads, manage end-to-end sales pipeline from early client concept study, FEED support, tender bidding through contract negotiation and award.
  • Lead commercial negotiation for large FPSO EPC, conversion, long-term charter and life extension contracts, balancing technical requirements, risk allocation, profit margin and delivery commitments.
  • Represent the company at global offshore energy conferences, industry forums and client executive workshops to strengthen FPSO product brand influence.

3. Bid, Tender & Project Commercial Governance

  • Oversee full tender delivery for FPSO mega-projects: coordinate bid management, technical proposal, cost estimation, schedule planning and risk assessment teams.
  • Review all FPSO commercial proposals, pricing models, contract terms and bid submissions to ensure compliance with corporate risk and profitability thresholds.
  • Post-award handover coordination with project execution team; monitor project commercial performance, claim management and revenue recognition throughout delivery.

4. Team Leadership & P&L Accountability

  • Lead and develop the global FPSO product & BD team (product managers, regional BD managers, bid specialists); set annual sales, margin and market share KPIs, conduct performance review and talent succession planning.
  • Own full P&L of the FPSO product division: deliver annual revenue, gross profit and cash flow targets; control product development R&D budget and marketing expenses.
  • Regularly present FPSO market updates, pipeline status, project risks and business performance to senior management and group board.

5. Low-Carbon & New Energy FPSO Development

  • Track decarbonization demands: integrate carbon capture, electrification, zero-emission power and green fuel solutions into next-generation FPSO product offerings.
  • Explore hybrid FPSO, offshore wind-FPSO integration and low-carbon asset retrofit business opportunities to capture energy transition market growth.

Qualifications

  • Education Background Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture or Oil & Gas related discipline; MBA preferred. Top-tier university academic background is highly preferred by premium EPC clients.
  • Core Industry Experience (Mandatory) Minimum 12–15 years progressive experience within top international EPC yards, FPSO design houses or offshore operator companies; at least 7 years in senior product / business development leadership roles focusing on FPSO full-cycle projects (newbuild, conversion, life extension). Proven track record of closing multi-billion-dollar FPSO EPC or charter projects with global oil majors. Deep hands-on understanding of FPSO topside process, hull integration, mooring system, detailed design, construction schedule and cost structure. Experience working with traditional offshore EPC operators is critical; candidates only from equipment vendors without full FPSO project exposure will not be considered.
  • Professional Capabilities Comprehensive knowledge of global FPSO market, regional field development rules, tender processes and industry commercial standards. Strong executive negotiation, large contract structuring and risk management capability for complex offshore projects. Excellent cross-functional leadership to align engineering, procurement, construction, finance and legal teams. Fluent business English for global client meetings, tender documentation and cross-region collaboration; multilingual (Mandarin + English) preferred for APAC market coverage. Global industry network with senior decision-makers across oil companies, yards and investment institutions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
