The role will be fully responsible and accountable for meeting or exceeding Trane’s revenue growth targets, maintaining our growing market share and expanding margin.

Seeking a high-energy, results driven professional who understands Trane’s Service business and is capable of articulating a strategic vision and executing that vision to deliver business results. This person should have excellent communication and executive presence and be seeking a highly visible opportunity to grow and develop toward a senior product leader position, a portfolio leader position, or other general management roles.

What you will do:

  • Manage tradeoffs between short- and long-term product performance as measured in revenue, margin, and market share, while demonstrating a strong desire to be held accountable for business results.
  • Actively manage the day-to-day needs of controls services offerings, with particular focus on identifying and delivering profitable growth opportunities, bringing a self-motivated, high-energy approach to problem solving and execution.
  • Support regular industry, market, and competitor analyses, including detailed segmentations of end consumers and customers.
  • Develop and execute the product plan for connected controls / BAS services, ensuring that the positioning, pricing, cost, margins, and customer value proposition support the overall building services strategy, while crafting and articulating a clear future vision for the business.
  • Initiate and support business cases for New Product Development (NPD) activities with clear line of sight on incremental revenue, expanded margin, and direct/indirect business impacts and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with other service, controls, digital, and equipment product managers to ensure strategy supports broader system initiatives and ensures smooth integration with the overall strategy for Trane, serving as a highly effective team player who builds commitment, engagement, and ownership across cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with market research teams to understand customer needs and define the customer requirements and associated systems to support product lines.
  • Review and approve or reject adjustments to offer structure, pricing, policies, or service features to better meet customer needs and expectations, based on regular product and service line reviews. Ensure pricing changes to all existing offerings to cover inflation, market trends, competitor actions, changes to offer structure or features, and/or lifecycle stages.
  • Lead and influence stakeholders across the organization, in both in-person and virtual environments, to drive alignment and execution, particularly in situations where change may be difficult or resisted.
  • Demonstrate servant leadership by initiating, leading, and solving problems effectively while supporting team success in a remote and highly collaborative environment.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required. MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, with strong negotiation and communication skills at all levels of the organization and executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence required, including success working in environments resistant to change.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills required.
  • Deep understanding of service business needs, cycles, and tradeoffs, with the ability to translate that understanding into strategic product direction and business outcomes, required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in remote and virtual settings, with strong time management, initiative, and collaboration skills, required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
