Position Summary:

Travere is seeking a passionate, community-connected Rare Kidney Disease (RKD) Educator to play a pivotal role in educating and empowering underserved communities most impacted by Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and IgA Nephropathy (IgAN). The RKD Educator will work in the field to lead and support patient education, disease awareness, and connect patients to resources. As an RKD Educator you will build disease awareness and care access for FSGS and IgAN patients in at-risk communities; deliver education to frontline healthcare providers, facilitate patient access to resources, support, and trusted information; and forge meaningful partnerships with advocacy groups and local stakeholders. This role sits within the Commercial organization reporting to the Director for the Rare Kidney Disease Educator and works in close alignment with Patient Advocacy, and our cross functional partners in commercial, access and medical affairs. Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Seattle, WA; however, candidates living anywhere within the Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado territory will be considered.

Responsibilities:

Patient & HCP Education

Community Connection & Advocacy Collaboration

  • Help identify undiagnosed or misdiagnosed FSGS cases by increasing disease awareness

  • Partner with groups like NephCure, National Kidney Foundation, the American Kidney Fund, and the Kidney Health Initiative, and The African American Men’s Wellness Agency (AAMWA)

Strategic Field Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Patient Advocacy, Commercial, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to align on patient and provider needs
  • Support field strategy by identifying opportunities to raise disease awareness, surface insights, and enable access to underserved or hard-to-reach accounts
  • Provide feedback from the field on barriers to care, educational gaps, and community needs to help inform strategic planning and resource deployment

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • RN, NP/PA, PharmD or similar healthcare credential
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience delivering health education or community outreach.
  • Deep ties or lived experience with underserved communities (e.g., Black, Hispanic, Asian, rural, socio-economically or medically disenfranchised populations)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of cultural humility and health disparities

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will embody Travere’s core values: Courage, Community Spirit, Patient Focus and Teamwork.
  • We are seeking healthcare professionals with clinical and community credibility, passion for equity in care, and a deep commitment to patient empowerment.
  • Experience in nephrology, rare diseases, or community-based care.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred.
  • Existing relationships with dialysis centers or nephrology practices.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably small molecule pharmaceuticals.
  • Well, organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to adapt to modification and changes to project plans, demonstrating flexibility to implement new strategies and tactics to accommodate these changes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
