  • Conduct cost research and trend analysis on labor, materials, and equipment for benchmarking.
  • Evaluate and compare independent cost estimates to contractor bids, identifying and explaining key variances.
  • Contribute to claims analysis and pricing for change management processes.
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, and clients to support project planning and execution.
  • Maintain historical cost data and support continuous improvement of estimating tools and practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5 + years of experience in estimating within the civil construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of local construction labor and material markets in NY/NJ.
  • Proficient in interpreting and analyzing construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with construction means, methods, and project sequencing.
  • Advanced skills in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, RSMeans, Timberline, or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience working on public sector infrastructure projects preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
