  • Review plats, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, construction surveys, and other survey products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Lead quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts by reviewing project deliverables, identifying deficiencies, and driving corrective actions through completion.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical standards, and best practices.
  • Establish and maintain performance metrics that improve project consistency, reduce delivery risk, and protect project profitability.
  • Serve as the Professional Land Surveyor of record by signing and sealing survey documents as required.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop survey personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, technical consultation, and proposal support.
  • Assist with strategic planning for the surveying practice, including staffing, resource planning, and operational improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with state surveying regulations, professional standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required; New York licensure is required; Multistate preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive land surveying experience with increasing technical and leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading survey teams or multi-office survey operations.
  • Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, subdivision, and utility surveys.
  • Experience developing QA/QC programs, technical standards, and operational processes.
  • Proven ability to mentor technical staff and build high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, risk management, and client service.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
