The Corporate Director, Business Development reports to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships Remote

POSITION SUMMARY: The Corporate Director, Business Development will be an individual contributor responsible for identifying, developing, and pursuing new multi-unit and high-volume foodservice business opportunities nationwide. This role will focus on hunting new customers and business opportunities across all segments of foodservice, including restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, assisted living, and other institutional and commercial foodservice operations. The Director will develop relationships with key decision makers, identify upcoming projects and expansion opportunities, and work to position the organization as a strategic equipment and supply partner. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in foodservice equipment, foodservice distribution, or an adjacent industry with a strong understanding of the foodservice marketplace and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: New Business Development: Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new multi-unit, high-volume, and strategic foodservice opportunities across restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, assisted living, education, government, and other foodservice segments.   Customer & Opportunity Development: Build relationships with owners, executives, operators, purchasing leaders, culinary leaders, developers, and other key decision makers within targeted accounts. Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and identify opportunities where the organization can provide foodservice equipment, supplies, and related solutions.   New Market & Account Hunting: Research and identify organizations, emerging chains, multi-unit operators, hospitality groups, healthcare systems, senior living organizations, and other high-volume foodservice customers that represent new business opportunities. Develop targeted strategies to penetrate accounts and create new revenue streams.   Project & Pipeline Development: Identify upcoming restaurant openings, remodels, expansions, conversions, acquisitions, and other capital projects that require foodservice equipment and related products. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and actively advance prospects through the sales process.   Industry & Market Knowledge: Leverage knowledge of foodservice equipment, distribution, manufacturing, and related industries to identify customer needs, understand buying processes, and develop solutions that create value for customers and the organization.   Manufacturer & Industry Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with foodservice equipment manufacturers, consultants, dealers, distributors, architects, design firms, and other industry partners to uncover opportunities and expand access to prospective customers.   Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, strategic partnerships, project management, equipment specialists, and other internal teams to develop opportunities, coordinate resources, and transition qualified business to the appropriate teams for execution.   Sales Activity & Performance: Maintain consistent prospecting and business development activity, track pipeline progress, and provide visibility into opportunities, expected revenue, customer activity, and market developments. Meet established business development and revenue objectives. COMPETENCIES:

Proven track record of hunting and developing new business, preferably within foodservice equipment, foodservice distribution, or an adjacent industry. Strong understanding of foodservice operations, equipment, distribution channels, and the buying process within commercial and institutional foodservice. Ability to identify and develop multi-unit, high-volume, and strategic account opportunities across multiple foodservice segments. Experience selling to or developing relationships with senior decision makers, including owners, executives, operators, purchasing leaders, and other key stakeholders. Strong prospecting, networking, relationship-building, and business development skills with a demonstrated sense of urgency and persistence. Ability to recognize upcoming projects, expansion plans, and other market opportunities and convert them into qualified sales opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on new customer acquisition, revenue growth, and measurable business development results.

  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field, or equivalent military or practical experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, preferably in foodservice equipment industry. Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence in a competitive environment. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-impact initiatives. Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions. Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
