  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases, amendments, assignments, guaranties, and related agreements
  • Manage litigation from initial strategy through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations
  • Advise clients on lease interpretation, risk management, default remedies, and property-related legal issues
  • Appear in California state courts throughout the litigation process
  • Build trusted relationships with sophisticated commercial real estate clients
  • Collaborate directly with firm leadership on legal strategy and complex matters

Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney:

  • Active member of the California Bar
  • Approximately 15+ years of litigation experience

  • Experience independently managing hearings, motions, and trials
  • Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a close-knit team
  • Outstanding communication and client relationship skills

Nice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney:

  • Experience representing shopping center owners, developers, REITs, or commercial property management companies
  • Strong transactional commercial real estate background
  • Experience with mediation and alternative dispute resolution
  • Existing relationships within the Southern California commercial real estate community

This Role Offers:

  • Base salary of $200,000-$240,000
  • Performance-based annual bonus with flexibility for exceptional candidates
  • Fully remote work for candidates located in Southern California
  • Opportunity to work with nationally recognized commercial landlords and developers
  • High-level litigation and transactional work without Big Law bureaucracy
  • Direct access to firm leadership and meaningful client interaction
  • Collaborative boutique environment where experience and judgment are valued

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
