Je komt terecht bij een gevestigde Belgische eventorganisator die beurzen en events in heel Europa organiseert en sinds kort deel uitmaakt van een grote Europese beursgroep. Binnen die groep is dit beursconcept een van de internationale vlaggenschepen: het groeit snel, telt edities in meer dan tien landen en wordt aangestuurd door een ondernemend team van een veertigtal mensen in West-Vlaanderen.

Je draagt de eindverantwoordelijkheid voor finance binnen deze business unit. Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan het hoofd van het beursconcept, met een dotted line naar de Group CFO. Omdat je leidinggevende geen financieel profiel is, ligt de vertaalslag van cijfers naar beslissingen bij jou. Je werkt in de regio Gent–Kortrijk, met flexibiliteit gebaseerd op vertrouwen.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

  • Je neemt de lead in de periodieke managementrapportering en bewaakt de resultaten per editie en per land.
  • Je coördineert het budget, de rolling forecasts, het meerjarenplan en het strategische vijfjarenplan.
  • Je bent de sparringpartner van het management en onderbouwt beslissingen met heldere analyses en concrete aanbevelingen.
  • Je voert rendabiliteits- en investeringsanalyses uit en brengt kansen en risico's per editie in kaart.
  • Je werkt business cases uit voor nieuwe steden, landen en lanceringen en ondersteunt financiële due diligence bij mogelijke overnames.
  • Je haalt data uit verschillende systemen en maakt er bruikbare managementinformatie en KPI's van.
  • Je ondersteunt de opmaak en validatie van commissie- en bonusplannen voor de commerciële teams.
  • Je verbetert processen, systemen en rapportering, binnen de richtlijnen van Group Finance.

Wat breng je mee?

  • Je hebt een masterdiploma in een economische richting (TEW, handelswetenschappen, handelsingenieur, accountancy & finance).
  • Je hebt 7 à 10 jaar relevante ervaring in audit, controlling of corporate finance.
  • Je was al meerdere jaren business controller in een operationele omgeving en kan zelfstandig een volledige business unit dragen.
  • Je combineert sterke analytische skills met commercieel en operationeel gevoel.
  • Je legt complexe cijfers helder uit aan niet-financiële collega's en durft het management uit te dagen.
  • Je werkt gestructureerd en nauwkeurig, ook als de pieken van de beurskalender eraan komen.
  • Je bent sterk in Excel; ervaring met BI-tools en FP&A-systemen is een belangrijke troef, net als ervaring met business cases of due diligence.
  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands en Engels. Frans is een pluspunt.
