MaintenanceAssistant (Aircon & General Upkeep)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Air-Conditioning Servicing & Maintenance (Core Duty):

  • Conduct routine preventive servicing of split-unit and window air-conditioners (cleaning air filters, front panels, and fan blowers).
  • Perform thorough chemical washes and chemical flushing of fan coils, cooling fins, and drainage pipes.
  • Clear clogged water trays and drainage pipes to prevent and resolve water leakage issues.
  • Check operating conditions (temperature output, air flow, unusual noise or vibration) and top up refrigerant gas if trained/qualified
  • Report complex aircon faults (compressor failure, PCB board issues) to theMaintenance Executive for contractor follow-up.

2. General Routine Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Assist in day-to-day minor building repairs:
  • Plumbing/Sanitary: Clearing choked drains/toilets, replacing tap washers, bidet sprays, and toilet cistern fittings.
  • Electrical: Replacing faulty light tubes, bulbs, LED drivers, switches, and socket faceplates.
  • General Upkeep: Minor touch-up painting, door handle/lock replacements, and minor furniture repairs.
  • Able to communicate basic maintenance issues and follow work instructions clearly.

Requirements:

  • Nitec/ Higher Nitec in Air-Conditioning & Refrigerator/Electrical Technology or Facility Technology
  • Basic knowledge or experience in air-conditioning servicing, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance
  • Preferably holds certification in Electrical / Plumbing / Facilities Maintenance or related field
  • Candidates without certification but with relevant hands-on experience are welcome to apply
  • Able to perform hands-on work and respond to maintenance issues promptly
  • Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently
