Job Description:

TTI Power Equipment is seeking a Customer Repairs Lead at its Anderson, SC location to support the Tool Repair Department. This hands-on warehousing leadership role trains and guides the material handling team in box opening, order entry, shipping, and battery processing while maintaining safe, consistent, and efficient daily execution. We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition assistance, 401(k), medical, dental, and vision coverage, vacation, and paid holidays.

Scope

The Customer Repairs Lead provides hands-on leadership and training for the material handling team that moves customer products into, through, and out of the repair operation. The Lead coordinates box opening and intake, accurate order entry, outbound shipping, and safe battery processing; establishes consistent standard work; and builds employee capability through onboarding, demonstration, coaching, and follow-up. The role may assist with inventory-related handoffs when needed, but its primary accountability is safe warehouse execution, employee readiness, material flow, quality, and turnaround performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and coordinate daily warehouse work for the material handling team across box opening, customer-product intake, order entry, shipping, and battery processing.
  • Own onboarding and continuing training for material handlers through clear instruction, hands-on demonstration, documented standard work, observation, coaching, and follow-up verification.
  • Assess employee readiness and skill gaps, provide refresher or cross-training, and partner with the Supervisor on development plans and qualification needs.
  • Assign work and balance staffing to maintain safe, accurate, and timely warehouse flow into and out of repair operations.
  • Ensure packages and products are opened, identified, documented, staged, and routed according to standard work while preventing damage or loss.
  • Monitor order-entry accuracy and completeness, resolve routine issues, and escalate system, customer-information, or workflow concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate outbound packaging and shipping to meet carrier, documentation, quality, and turnaround requirements.
  • Oversee safe battery processing, including identification, inspection, charging, testing, segregation, storage, documentation, and escalation of nonconforming product.
  • Reinforce warehouse safety, housekeeping, equipment-use, product-handling, and quality requirements through daily coaching and visible leadership.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, reinforce expectations, offer timely feedback, and escalate performance, attendance, or employee concerns to the Supervisor.
  • Confirm that employees have the supplies, tools, equipment, system access, and information required to perform their work safely and effectively.
  • Track workload, throughput, training completion, order-entry accuracy, shipping performance, battery-processing quality, and operational constraints; communicate risks and recommended actions to supervision.
  • Coordinate with inventory personnel when material handoffs, parts, supplies, or inventory transactions affect warehouse flow, without serving as the primary owner of inventory control.
  • Support continuous-improvement efforts that strengthen training effectiveness, safety, flow, quality, traceability, productivity, and readiness for future operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of repair operations.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in warehousing, material handling, shipping, receiving, order processing, repair support, distribution, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience training, onboarding, coaching, or providing day-to-day work direction in a warehouse or operational setting preferred.
  • Experience with product intake, order entry, packaging, shipping systems, or customer-order processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe battery handling, inspection, charging, testing, segregation, and storage practices preferred.
  • Ability to explain standard work clearly, demonstrate tasks, evaluate understanding, and provide constructive follow-up.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and order-processing or shipping systems; Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred.
  • Ability to set priorities based on workload, warehouse flow, quality requirements, safety, and turnaround commitments.
  • Ability to identify and communicate processing, system, equipment, safety, shipping, and quality concerns.
  • Ability to work independently, provide clear day-to-day direction, and collaborate effectively with employees, supervisors, and partner teams.
  • Ability to perform effectively under turnaround-time and quality constraints while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Physical Demands

  • Standing/Walking for long periods of time.
  • Repetitive motion.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs.
  • Able to work in various temperature conditions.

Note *** The physical and weight-lifting demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Internal Qualifications

  • No final warnings
  • No more than 6 attendance points
  • Efficiency and Quality goals met for the previous 3 months.
  • Must be in current role for 6+ months.
  • Must meet all job description requirements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
