The posting

About the Role:

Tubi is seeking a Manager, Advertising Operations to lead a team of Ad Operations Specialists and set the standard for how we deliver, troubleshoot, and scale campaigns for Tubi's high-profile direct and programmatic clients. You will report into the VP of Advertising Operations & Campaign Management and partner closely with Ad Sales, Account Management, Media Strategy, and Engineering to make sure campaigns are set up correctly, deliver in full, and are measured and invoiced accurately.

Beyond owning day-to-day execution, you will coach and develop your team, build the processes and tooling that standardize programmatic deal setup and delivery monitoring, and act as the escalation point for complex technical issues across measurement, ad serving, programmatic, and data targeting. You should be comfortable in a space where industry standards are still being defined, and able to help Sales and clients meet their goals within the limits of existing ad serving technologies.

This is a hybrid role in New York City; employees are required four days in the office, subject to change.

What You'll Do:

Lead and develop the team

  • Coach, mentor, and manage a team of Ad Operations Specialists, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development
  • Manage team resourcing and workload across campaigns, regions, and peak periods, including the weekend creative review rotation
  • Hire and onboard new team members, and build cross-training so no single person is a point of failure

Own campaign delivery and quality

  • Oversee QA of campaign assets (tags, creatives) and campaign setup (contextual and audience targeting) against Tubi's ad specs for each ad product sold
  • Ensure direct sold and programmatic campaigns deliver in full, with proactive daily pacing analysis and optimization recommendations
  • Own accurate and timely invoicing inputs for Tubi's direct clients, and understand each client's KPIs so delivery supports their goals

Troubleshoot at the advanced level

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex issues across measurement, ad serving, programmatic, and data targeting
  • Lead resolution of traffic issues and first-party vs. third-party discrepancies, and review 1st and 3rd party reporting for accuracy
  • Run root-cause analysis and post-mortems on delivery-impacting incidents, and turn findings into lasting fixes

Build scalable programmatic processes

  • Develop and implement processes that standardize programmatic deal setup and monitor delivery
  • Define and drive adoption of troubleshooting tools and workflows that cut resolution time and reduce manual work
  • Leverage Tubi's proprietary ad server to monetize inventory, and shape requirements for new tooling in partnership with Product and Engineering

Collaborate across sales, support, and tech

  • Partner with Ad Sales, Account Management, and sales support teams to help clients work through issues and meet their goals
  • Work with Engineering and Product to surface ad tech issues, prioritize fixes, and validate releases
  • Report delivery results back to Media Strategy so planning stays accurate

Analyze and report

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give Sales, Account Management, and leadership clear visibility into pacing, delivery, and performance
  • Use data to identify trends, forecast risk to delivery, and recommend operational improvements

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ total years of experience in Advertising Operations
  • 2+ years of management or mentorship experience
  • Skilled at coaching and leading others, including performance management and resource management
  • Advanced troubleshooting of ad technologies, including measurement, ad serving, programmatic, and data targeting
  • Proven ability to collaborate across sales, support, and tech teams
  • Track record of developing and implementing processes that standardize programmatic deal setup, monitor delivery, and enable troubleshooting tools and workflows
  • Advanced command of data analysis tools, including Excel, data visualization tools, and reporting dashboards
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to improve workflows and tasks
  • Strong technical understanding of the digital ecosystem, including the role a publisher plays in the context of an SSP and a DSP
  • Experience with Order Management Systems and video ad standards (VAST, VPAID) is a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Well organized, with superior attention to detail and the ability to focus on priorities while multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
