The posting
Warehouse Inventory Clerk
Copper does not move without the right part, in the right place, at the right count. This role keeps warehouse stock accurate, available, and traceable so maintenance, operations, and purchasing can keep a mine and processing plant running. You will turn receipts, issues, and cycle counts into inventory the site can trust—and you will do it with the discipline a heavy-industrial operation demands.
Performance Objectives
- Receive, inspect, and post inbound materials the same shift so critical spares and supplies are available before crews need them.
- Hold location-level inventory accuracy through scheduled cycle counts, investigating and closing variances before they disrupt work orders.
- Issue parts and materials against authorized requests with complete documentation, correct quantities, and clear lot or bin traceability.
- Flag shortages, slow movers, and reorder risks early so purchasing can replenish before a stockout stops a job.
- Keep aisles, bins, and staging areas labeled, segregated, and housekept to site safety and material-handling standards.
- Reconcile receipts, returns, and adjustments daily so system records match what is physically on the shelf.
- Execute and support the site Environmental, Health and Safety program on every task, including proper lifting, equipment use, and hazard reporting.
Environment & Resources
You will report to the warehouse supervisor and work daily with maintenance, purchasing, and operations. The role is based at a copper mining and processing site in southern Arizona. You will use the site inventory system, scanners or equivalent tools, and standard warehouse equipment. Work is on-site, physical, and paced by production needs, including possible shift or overtime coverage.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, with prior warehouse, storeroom, or inventory control experience in an industrial setting.
- Proven ability to receive, issue, count, and reconcile stock to a defined accuracy standard.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort learning an inventory or ERP system.
- Ability to lift, stand, and move materials safely in a mine-site warehouse, including powered industrial truck operation if certified or willing to certify.
- Clear written and verbal communication so counts, discrepancies, and urgent needs are understood the first time.
- Valid driver’s license. Employment offers are contingent on a successful background check and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
Role Selling Points
- Direct impact on uptime: accurate stock keeps maintenance and production moving.
- Work inside a copper mining, smelting, and refining operation—not a generic distribution floor.
- A safety-first culture where Environmental, Health and Safety is part of the job, not an afterthought.
- Exposure to mining, metallurgy, and heavy-industry supply chains, with room to grow technical skill.
- A stable, for-profit industrial employer operating at scale in Arizona.
