The Opportunity:

Critical to achieving this milestone is a multi-disciplinary marketing and proposal development function that strengthens the Turner & Townsend brand and supports our client-facing professionals in capturing new opportunities and growing existing business.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced strategic content development professional to lead the creation of varying forms of content to support thought leadership, executive communications development, presentation storytelling, and market-facing messaging, for internal and external use across multiple channels, that elevates our brand and supports business growth.

The Senior Manager, Strategic Content Development will partner closely with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and marketing professionals to transform complex ideas into compelling narratives that position the firm as a trusted advisor and industry leader. This role is responsible for shaping and communicating our perspective on market trends, client challenges, and industry opportunities through high-quality content and executive-level communications.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, storyteller, and collaborator with experience supporting senior stakeholders in a professional services environment. They are equally comfortable interviewing technical experts, developing executive presentations, drafting keynote speeches, creating thought leadership campaigns, and refining value propositions that resonate with clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

Thought leadership and content strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic content initiatives aligned with business priorities, growth objectives, and market opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify relevant industry trends, client challenges, and emerging topics.
  • Alongside thought leaders and subject matter experts in the business, lead the briefing and creation of thought leadership content, including articles, white papers, reports, perspectives, blogs, and executive commentaries.
  • Establish and manage editorial calendars to support market visibility and business objectives.
  • Ensure content reflects the firm's brand, voice, strategic positioning, and quality standards.
  • Monitor industry developments and competitive trends to identify new content opportunities.

Storytelling and presentation development

  • Support selected spokespeople to plan and prepare for event communications and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Develop keynote speeches, conference presentations, panel discussion talking points, executive briefs, and presentation scripts.
  • Partner with spokespeople to shape clear, compelling narratives tailored to specific audiences and business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on messaging, storytelling, and positioning.
  • Develop persuasive presentation storylines that communicate complex topics clearly and effectively.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for conferences and internal leadership events.
  • Translate technical, operational, and commercial content into engaging visual narratives.
  • Establish presentation best practices and drive consistency across key communications.
  • Collaborate with designers and marketing colleagues to enhance presentation quality and impact.

Value proposition and messaging development

  • Lead development and refinement of sector, service line, and corporate value propositions.
  • Facilitate messaging workshops with subject matter experts.
  • Create messaging frameworks that clearly articulate market differentiation and client value.
  • Support strategic marketing and lead generation campaigns through effective positioning and content.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across marketing, communications, and pursuit materials.

Stakeholder engagement and collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with identified key stakeholders across the business.
  • Conduct interviews and workshops to uncover insights and develop content.
  • Collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to maximize content opportunities and alignment.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Act as a center of excellence for storytelling and thought leadership content development.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in strategic content, thought leadership, executive communications, corporate communications, or professional services marketing.
  • Experience within consulting, engineering, construction, real estate, infrastructure, legal, accounting, or other professional services organizations.
  • Experience developing thought leadership programs.
  • Experience using generative AI platforms for ideation and research.
  • Auditing AI generated copy for factual accuracy.
  • Proven experience writing for senior executives and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong interviewing and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation storytelling capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and compelling content.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of business, marketing, and client-focused communications.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting C-suite or senior executive communications.
  • Familiarity with business development, pursuits, and client engagement activities.
  • Experience working within a matrixed or global organization.
