About the role

Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager, you will lead the planning, execution and delivery of capital projects from concept through to commissioning and operational handover. Working closely with operational teams, engineering specialists, contractors and key stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with business objectives.

  • Lead the delivery of capital projects across winery and packaging operations.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets and procurement activities.
  • Develop business cases, project plans and technical specifications.
  • Oversee contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Drive safe project execution and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
  • Manage project risks and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support commissioning, validation and operational handover of new assets and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver operational and strategic business outcomes

About you

You are a driven and technically capable engineer with a strong track record of delivering complex projects within manufacturing or industrial environments. You enjoy working collaboratively, solving problems and turning ideas into practical outcomes that create lasting business value.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience managing capital projects in manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, food processing or industrial environments.
  • Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated experience delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants and external vendors.
  • Sound commercial and financial acumen, including CAPEX budget management.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design, asset reliability and operational improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
